Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Yes. This time they have good capable machine at a decent price tag and they are serious and the sales already shown positive response. Bangalore alone sold 100 units which is great to hear. It wont be another Duke/Alto for sure in terms of sales, where you see in every corner of the street. Any idea how many units have been sold in chennai.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
As I mentioned multiple times earlier, this is an ownership experience thread where in all sorts of experience, good, mixed or bad should be shared along with cause, measures and outcome.
If it's a positive experience, it should be appreciated. If it's not, then it should be reported, escalated if necessary. Both will help brand and current & prospective buyers.
Conversations with South India service head and RSA manager were both reassuring and positive. I sincerely hope their words are converted to action as well when the need arises, and going by the way the conversation unfolded, they seemed serious.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hii everyone... just reporting a minor incident with the fuel tank cap.
Last night after getting the fuel poured I began to push close the tank cap and it got stuck after going like 1/4 in. I have never had any experience with a push type (attached on one side) fuel cap. My earlier bike Unicorn's cap comes out completely and then to close you push it with key intact. It wouldn't shut nor open and the key was also stuck. So after wrestling for 3-4 minutes I got off the bike and held the tiny flap on top the fuel cap with both hands and pulled hard. Managed to open it and then checked the cap and everything looked fine. Twisted the key and it moved fine.
Am I doing anything wrong? Do I have to twist the key while pressing? I guess it is supposed to twist by itself whilst you are pushing down the fuel cap.

The lever in the tank cap is a bit hard, so its better to twist the key and then place the flap, I faced the same problem but kindof figured it out. There are some minor niggles that you will face if your bike gets wet, like the ignition key might get stuck, but I found the culprit, water seeps inside the lock and creates a vacuum, thereby causing the key to be stuck. Blow into the keyhole and once the water comes out the key works fine.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hi friends,
I am Saravanan from chennai. Today i booked my Benelli TNT 300.. black. and its time for the everlasting waiting period.
I have been a close watcher of this thread. Thanks to all forum members who has shared their valuable experience and knowledge. Its been a great factor in deciding this bike.
And i agree with the thread owner @experimentalhead. Sharing both good and bad experience in the forums is the right way as it helps all the prospective buyers know what is what. Special thanks to him for rising his voice and doing the right thing, not everyone can do that.
Little story about me. (Beware:Amateurish writer)
I owned a Hero Honda Hunk for 7 years. Great motorcycle, such a reliable and stable bike, never let me down at any point of time. it was really hard to let it go.
My dad asked me to get a bigger bike with a budget of 2L. There were only 4 bikes at that time which fell under by budget CBR250/ D390/ TBTS500/ DS500 and i chose TBTS 500.
TBTS 500, again superb comfort, awesome stability, but i realized later im not a bullet guy, i felt i miss something. Never had a problem like typical royal enfield niggles or any parts going kaput. Its just its not fun anymore (maybe RE is too common).
The day i bought the TBTS 500 and went to a nearby small temple for the first pooja.. the priest who did the pooja had a RE Classic and we were sharing the bullet pricing and he was telling about his experiences. its that common now.
So after a year and a half of Thumping i decided to go for a premium bike, not the one which burns my pocket neither too big and intimidating.
Then there was the search phase.. the reviews phase.. videos phase.. test ride phase..and finally narrowed down the list to D390, z250, tnt 300.
Z250 - no test drive.. no more consideration. striked out from the list.
D390 - scarily fast, not a single relaxed moment, i liked the raw power. But i felt this is not my type. and the exhaust note... meh.. !!
TNT 300 - Only one which ticked all the right boxes for me.
Premium feel - Check
Pillion comfort - Check
Powerful engine - Check (Powerful enough for me)
Exhaust note - double Check
Riding Comfort - Check
City usability - Check
Head turner - Check
Upright seating - Check
Mileage around 30 - Check
Aftersales/ spares - [ ]
Exotic look/ Twin cylinder/ dual petal discs/ wide 120/160 rubber - are all awesome extras which weren't on my list.
Test drove on thursday. booked on Saturday.
30 days waiting period. I was told i am fifth in the waiting list of tnt 300.
The test drive bike had iXiL exhaust on it, man! did it scream.. the showroom guy gave me the bike, asking me to push beyond 7k rpm to feel the real power and what did i do.. i pushed it to 11k rpm..
and...........
I ended up having a memory burn !! never gonna forget the scream, the heads it turned, the presence, the experience..
It made me feel I am 100% confident about my decision.
Anyone from chennai here ? booked/ waiting to book/ bike delivered ?
Would be great to share some experiences here.
Thank you all. keep sharing.. !!

First of all Night Fury welcome to the club. The bike is amazing, has a premium and a big bike feel at this price, looks exotic Italian with a lot of chrome accents and screams to get everybody on the road mental. This bike has bought me more stares and queries on the road than I had ever imagined. I like the stock exhaust though, has a stubby feel to it and sounds loud but toned.

Hey thanks mate.
Yes i agree with you on the attention it gets.
Also,i didnt have the chance to ride one with stock exhaust.
But in my opinion, the IXIL will be thrilling in the city rides, but for long rides it might be tiring to hear the loud noise all along. just my opinion. but it will awesome for city rides or semi city rides..
