Weight: It's an issue. I agree. Too heavy to easily maneuver, especially in traffic. I own this beast for 4 years. I enjoy it more on highway, where it is exceptionally stable. But I enjoy my Avenger more in city traffic compared to Benelli.

Exhaust note: Great plus point. But should not be a deciding factor. If you are falling for exhaust note of a machine, more than other vital factors, then one is bound to regret if he/ she is into serious motorcycling, especially touring. Applies to any motorcycle.

Braking: It's been wonderful for me and others who I have known owning this machine. Never felt lack of ABS.
Tank paint chipping: could be isolated incidents. Mine still sparkles like a new one even after 4 years. It's all about maintenance is my perspective.
Bike heating up: It heats up in bumper to bumper traffic. But has excelling heat dissipation and does not stall, never for me, like some other machines are known far.
Oil leakage: Let me be honest. Oil sensor gave away once to me resulting in entire oil spilled on the road. It was corrected under warranty. But I have been the only one who has faced this issue from many who own this. This is to best of my knowledge. This is not a systemic issue as far as I know.

Maintenance: Initial owners suffered a lot in this front, including me. Frequency of oil change and service intervals were too much. But owners especially from Bangalore kept pushing DSK when they owned this in India and due to constant constructive feedback & criticism, many components were procured locally, Annual maintenance schemes were rolled out cutting cost by good 30%.
Now, after new group acquisition, frequency is 6 months once instead of 4 months once and also parts are cheaper.

What matters most is whether you connect with a machine or not. A beast may not appeal to anybody in the world. But if you feel it works for you, then go for it after counting all factors like maintenance, after sales service (which has improved tremendously at least in Bangalore, I can vouch)
Considering all my facts that i've stated above and after taking a thorough TD of the bike, i chose not to opt for it.
Well yeah, i agree that the company has improved on a lot of things and has kept all the existing customers happy, i couldn't really connect with the bike much. I'm glad that the owners are happily riding their steeds but it's just that my requirements were different.
Now that the company has slashed prices even further, should be a good upgrade to someone coming from a single pot. I'd suggest them to take a TD of both the TNT300 and the R3 and then decide.

As i have mentioned earlier, i'm already more than happy with my 2016 R3. I guess you made a wrong tag.

I agree that the price is a bit on the higher side but the hassle free maintenance and spares availability will make it a lot easier and practical to own one, IMO. It has been pocket friendly to me and i'm happy with the ownership till date. Take a TD and decide for yourself

R3 is pretty good bike but IMO wait for BS6 models except if you have finalized the R3, not to mention you can expect the Kawasaki Z400 also to launch which could bridge the gap between R3 and N400.

Yes, even if it does bridge the price, it is still going to be costlier than the R3, which itself feels costly to me.

Hello owners. I am owner of pre worshipped TNT300.

Do we have any all India whatsapp group where we can discuss about. Or anything specific for Hyderabad
Whats the current chain sprocket price for TNT 300.
          Anybody has used handlebar risers.
Where to get tourer accesories in Hyderabad or nearby

Currently serviced with engine flush and using Nikavi brake pads. Works excellent..still have to check the life. Its 2k kms since installation.

Any thoughts on battery alternative for replacement.

          Anybody using Timsun?

There are screws inside hood. I don't have the pic right now, but if you will open the headlight assembly, you can easily find that.

                Hello Benellians

                Greetings for the the day!

I am going to book TNT 300 on august 23rd from Bengaluru showroom (Langford Garden).
The sale representative told me that the 1st service (1000 km) will cost me around 5-6k.

                Is the sales guy correct?

                Regards,

The sales guy is bluffing. There's absolutely no way they can charge you 5-6k for the first service. All they do is change the engine oil with the oil filter. A petty wash and chain tightening and lubing. That's all.

                    Hey brother,

Seems like they have changed few rules. Spoke to Benelli showroom in Chennai seems like there are no free services anymore.
But they have changed the service interval from 4k to 6k (or 6 months).

Can I request existing Benelli owners to cross check and let me know.

                    Thanks in advance.

I took a TD here too. They gave a very good, nearly 5km, TD! Through traffic and all.

and yes, he did mention 5k-6k cost per service.
I remember specifically asking him is it this high and why there are no free services. He said thats because this is a foreign brand . I dont know (shrug) ?

Which is why I am pretty sure I will rather have the R3 over the TNT 300 as the on road price in Bangalore is a difference of 40-50k , but 3 free services reduces is to 30k ish. and cost of spares is way lower on the R3

Hi, Guys, I recently became a proud owner of a pre-owned Benelli TNT 300. Got it at a decent price, condition is good too (2017 Feb, driven only 4800km) 3 services done. You can see from the picture attached.
I was looking for some answers which I havent found anywhere.
                                1. As pointed out earlier by other members too, my bike's horn stops working once the engine temperature reaches around 85+ and occasionally works, maybe 10% times of the tries. In the evening with headlight on, I find it surprising that if I switch off the main headlights, the horn resumes working, although havent tried doing it over a long period as riding without headlight didnt seem too safe. Is there a permanent solution to this? Like changing of the horn or wiring or switch? If yes, can anyone share with me the model no. of the spare which might be suitable?
                                2. The fuel meter doesnt seem to be dependable at all. Many a times it blinks to show low fuel, but even after filling to the brim, the meter still shows half filled. Is there any calibration of the meter? Is there anyone who has faced similar issue?
                                3. The headlights are weak, the high beam is absolutely useless. Any suggestion for replacement? Without affecting the battery.

Looking forward to many happy miles, the machine is just amazing... superb stability, superb pull. Just amazing as a begginers big bike.
