We now have another dealership opened up in Noida. So that makes 2nd dealership opened up north. First being in South Delhi that recently opened. Wondering if they plan to revive closed dealerships in Chandigarh and Jalandhar as well.

The showroom showcases the entire range of Benelli superbikes available in India, under the dealership of ‘Felix Autowerks LLP.

          • Good Bye - Benelli TNT 300 #Arini

            Heyy Everyone,

So, yes I have finally sold my Benelli TNT 300. And let me set things straight by saying that there was nothing wrong with the motorcycle.
I just started doing a lot more trails and off road terrain. The Benelli did keep up for most of my journeys and I will surely miss it. The low end grunt, how easily I used to climb inclines on trails at as low as 2500 on the rpm.

That said I am switching over to a RE Himalayan BS4. However will always be available for any queries you guys might have for the Benelli. Will surely try and help.

            See you around !!!

Downgrade or upgrade is all in the usage. I wanted a bike specifically for off road use, one which could also be comfortable with regular touring. Wanted to restrict budget at 3 Lakhs and wanted something which would be easy and cheap to repair in case of falls, which are inevitable on trails. The next bike up the ladder is the x300, which with a n300 engine is not enjoyable in off road with its high revving block. Additionally it is over 5 lakhs in Bangalore. Then the TRK502x which is close to 7 lakhs. And then all of the rest above the line. All upgrades in matter of power and money spent to maintain. But, the question is do they actually let you do what you want ? Without worrying about the cost, if you take a fall or even basic maintenance? If my pockets were deep enough, I would never worry. Hell, I would have picked up the MultiStrada or the Tiger !!!

Honestly, maintaining all the bikes above the x300 is gonna eat into my travel money. And I spent some weeks with the new BS4 Himalayan, last December, and it was surprisingly good. Still has some niggles but I can upgrade them to my liking, without burning a hole in my pocket.

                    60K price drop announced today!
Ex showroom price of 2.9L now

I am now slightly confused, whether to go for this or the R3 as I had originally planned.

Did anyone else have the same dilemma? what did you do?

Also, I know this is a Benelli thread so any honest pros and cons appreciated. Cheers

Whenever you are in dilemma, think of Dalai Lama.

I am booking TNT 300 next month.

I guess, on road price in Bangalore will be around 3.5L, same as what it was when I got mine 4 years ago. So, you will be getting with ABS, if I am not wrong.

I did have the same dilemma. I got an opportunity to test ride the TNT300 before buying the R3.

I felt the weight was too much and couldn't maneuver in traffic that easily. I wanted a bike to commute in city and in traffic too.

Also, on highways, the wind-blast was pretty intense. I also felt that the bike wasn't easily flickable and couldn't connect with it but the symphony it produces is to die for.

I was even confused after hearing a few braking related incidents, tank paint chipping incidents, incident with the bike heating up, oil leaking incidents.

I was also skeptical on the maintenance part as the spare parts and service costs were a bit higher for my liking and that spares weren't available at ease.

After this, i picked up the R3 and it was the best decision i've made. Although it costed me more than the TNT300, i still have my peace of mind after 2 and a half years of owning it.

P.S. - This is just my personal opinion and i have no intent to hurt any proud TNT300 owner by this post. Just giving a few insights to a fellow xBhpian.

With all due respect, not a fan boy speaking here. Just facts from my side. Just to agree with certain points and dispel some.

Weight: It's an issue. I agree. Too heavy to easily maneuver, especially in traffic. I own this beast for 4 years. I enjoy it more on highway, where it is exceptionally stable. But I enjoy my Avenger more in city traffic compared to Benelli.

Exhaust note: Great plus point. But should not be a deciding factor. If you are falling for exhaust note of a machine, more than other vital factors, then one is bound to regret if he/ she is into serious motorcycling, especially touring. Applies to any motorcycle.

Braking: It's been wonderful for me and others who I have known owning this machine. Never felt lack of ABS.
Tank paint chipping: could be isolated incidents. Mine still sparkles like a new one even after 4 years. It's all about maintenance is my perspective.
Bike heating up: It heats up in bumper to bumper traffic. But has excelling heat dissipation and does not stall, never for me, like some other machines are known far.
Oil leakage: Let me be honest. Oil sensor gave away once to me resulting in entire oil spilled on the road. It was corrected under warranty. But I have been the only one who has faced this issue from many who own this. This is to best of my knowledge. This is not a systemic issue as far as I know.

Maintenance: Initial owners suffered a lot in this front, including me. Frequency of oil change and service intervals were too much. But owners especially from Bangalore kept pushing DSK when they owned this in India and due to constant constructive feedback & criticism, many components were procured locally, Annual maintenance schemes were rolled out cutting cost by good 30%.
Now, after new group acquisition, frequency is 6 months once instead of 4 months once and also parts are cheaper.

What matters most is whether you connect with a machine or not. A beast may not appeal to anybody in the world. But if you feel it works for you, then go for it after counting all factors like maintenance, after sales service (which has improved tremendously at least in Bangalore, I can vouch)

Bro hold your horses for another year the reason being there already new Benelli 302s and Yamaha R3 in other markets which are yet to make debut in India, its better to wait for those it may take a year but you will have a latest bike and won't have a bike that becomes old model in a year.

Thanks, still considering it. Will take a test drive of all the twins - RE, R3 and TNT before deciding now.

P.S. - This is just my personal opinion and i have no intent to hurt any proud TNT300 owner by this post. Just giving a few insights to a fellow xBhpian.
I agree with a lot of these points, which is why R3 was the bike I wanted. Will see if I get a TD ASAP. I want to see how flickable it is and if it strikes a chord with me. The main sticking point is its exorbitant cost in Bangalore. 4.4l!!

Thanks for the details here. I guess the only time worrying me about TNT is the weight and service costs.
Let me check this bike out personally and see if it appeals more than an R3 to me.

I don't want the new model R3. It feels like a race machine. The current gen is perfect imo, very good riders triangle and not really dedicated.
