Any idea on when the new quotes for service intervals reach all service centers. The service rep informed me that even though the news is out that the duration has been extended, they're yet to receive official updated quotations and without it they cannot proceed with new service packages.

Changing at even 12k seems really short duration. My Honda City has just completed and it still is on the original ones, probably will change in the next one though.
Better to stick to warranty norms. Once the warranty is over you can take a call.

Any updates on when the sale of the three existing model resumes under the Mahavir-Benelli JV? I live in Pune, and am very eagerly waiting for the TnT 300 to relaunch!

Interestingly, the https://www.mahavir-benelli.com website went down as suddenly as it came up!

https://india.benelli.com/ - I guess this is the only official URL

Bangalore mention this will happen in November, once the new DMS software is deployed. Not sure of present status, however.

In Kochi it has been officially announced. There was a big board in the office with the new schedule and rates and the savings etc. I was informed by the serivce manager that I need to bring the bike only in April...6 months from now ( since my official service date was Oct 26th, but delayed it a few days to do it during the service camp).

I got sad news here about the shutdown of SVC here in Surat, the current owner decided to call it quits. Also i am hearing similar thing about the SVC in Baroda and Ahmedabad. Is there anyone here from Ahmedabad/Baroda who can confirm ?

Thou the current (last) owner told me about probability of someone else taking up the dealership soon, till then bunch of us here will be clueless about future servicing and needs of bike. Hope new models are released soon before anymore dealerships backs out.

Tell me about it. I was this close to buy TNT300 from Odisha then later realized that there are no service centers here in the north. The nearest one i have is about 1800kms away. I usually check up with benelli customer care twice a week and they still don’t have any timeline for the launch. This all is making me to put down my money for RE 650 twins. confused! ☹️

Oddles of grip takes a little longer to warm up compared to the Metz or Pirelli. Ridden in slush, broken roads, gravel and sand, also in rains much better grip compared to both of the
above-mentioned tires in the conditions mentioned. COST for a set - INR 9985/-

                Why I selected TIMSUN?

I had seen a few friends use it in the KTM DUKE 390 and felt good about it and of course, it was 1/3 the price of a Pirelli or Metz.
                Something to keep in mind.
                - This is not a radial tyre (hence the low cost) - CONS - I did not find any issues in real life scenarios PROS - Sidewalls are stronger that radials and thus alloys are less susceptible to damage.

How's Timsun performing so far? As this is non radial tyre (assuming cross-ply), have you observed any difference in riding comfort?

See, Radial tyres have two advantages.
                  1. The side walls are softer, hence provide a more cushy ride, compared to a cross-ply. However, this also makes the wheel take hits when u run into bad roads or that occasional pothole. The cross-ply fare better in such cases, especially for Indian roads or rather no roads.
                  2. The way the tire heats up is different. The radials, heat up really fast and get to a suitable temperature and rarely overheats, provided the air pressure is correct and optimised. On the other end, the cross-ply take a tad longer to heat up and can continue heating up a lot more in higher speeds. I am talking 150+ kmph. One of the reasons radials were developed.

Now, why did I choose Timsun.

Well for one, on a real case scenario my cruising speeds are always around 120-130kmph. The Timsun is what they call a mixutre of tech from both conventional cross ply (which gives a rigid wall) and radials (which give it a hard/medium compound at the treads).

Personally, I found the tires take a tad longer to heat up. So on a ballpark figure, I don't start pushing the leans till I complete at least 5/6kms. I maintain a 30/33 air pressure instead of the 33/36, because cross-ply will heat more and balance out the pressure. On the grip front, I have tested the bike in loose sand, gravel, slush, clay like sticky mud, and even rocks. This is apart from good roads and bad roads. Rain or Shine the tire has performed well. Much more than one would expect from a tire which costs 1/3 of a radial of the same size (pirelli/michelin/metz). It also outperforms all the low-cost brands like MRF, Apollo & Ceat. I have found these to be very slippery in rains. The Timsuns are yet to scare me even in rains in ghats with sections having sand on the roads.
I personally do not find any comfort related issues with these tires. They are performing well, almost comparable to the Angel STs I have had. a good balance of tarmac grip and off-road handling.

So, yeah I would recommend the Timsun. But it is not for you if you are always doing speeds over 150kmph, occasional sprints are just fine.
NOTE - The ones I am using is a 70/30 On/Off road treads. You even get sports treads which will be more grippy on the tarmac.

At 10k for a set, it surely is VFM.

Hey Fellas, finally, after a lot of though I let heart prevail over head and bought a preworshipped (Literally) Benelli TNT300. The owner is a well known youtube vlogger and based out of Delhi NCR. The Bike is in immaculate condition and I and pretty happy with 530+ kms that i have driven in 4 days (touchwood). I have few questions that i would like existing Benelli experts to answer.

                        1. What should be the gear speed ratios. It’s surprising to see that engine pulls from 30 kms without lugging

                        2. How to clean the area around exhaust headers since there are many exposed wires and sensors

                        3. How to clean the engine radiator? would cleaning by hose (Read: Free flow water, Not pressure wash) suffice?

                        4. What should be the frequency to clean the chain?

                        5. I need a rear tyre replacement after 2-3k kms, i heard ppl giving awesome feedback for Timsum tyres, how are they in city conditions?

                        6. 4th service is due by Jan-2019, what do they check in 4th service and what is the tentative cost like after the Mahavir takeover?

                        7. Can I buy happy savings plan or extended warranty or AMC after two years?

                        8. Any pre-start or post stop rituals I need to keep in mind?

                        9. Do anyone use alternate disk lock apart from Xena. Any recommendations for a good helmet between 4-6k?

                        10. How do you guys manage to keep ppl away when your motorbike is parked.

                        11. Any good recommendations for bike cover?

Apologies for bombarding you guys with so many questions but I don’t know where else to get genuine response. So, for now, i’ll let some pictures do the talking...

                        Cheers!

Hi, My friend's TnT 300 is due for Chain Sprocket change and we reside in Bangalore. The SVC still don't have stock for the same. Now he is thinking about sourcing it from Ali express or amazon because the bike is stationary for the past 2 months. It would be very help full if anyone could share the link for a trusted vendor. Also is it advisable to buy chain sprocket separate cus there r better deals.

2 months? are you sure? he could have called Sultana (South Head) or Aman (North head). They are very helpful in arranging parts if you require them. Besides, don't you think that the warranty will get void of you go in for a third party install?

Congratulations on your purchase ! ! Wish you lot of great riding ahead. I will try to answer some of your queries, as I actually own the big brother 600i.

I use free flow water and soft brush if there is lot of mud there, but first make sure the mud is soft by running water on it...This is a tedious task during rainy season if you forget to do it once a week, the mud really gets caked up. Be careful when use the brush so as not to damage the fins...

                                4. What should be the frequency to clean the chain? I do it eery 750 kms ...during rains 500km...I have used Tribocor and Motul lubricants and Motul cleaner and Kerosene as cleaners

                                5. I need a rear tyre replacement after 2-3k kms, i heard ppl giving awesome feedback for Timsum tyres, how are they in city conditions?

                                8. Any pre-start or post stop rituals I need to keep in mind? I just check the lights , indicators and the first km check both brakes. I take the bike only on sundays and on trips so I check the airpressure first thing by taking it to a petrol station.

                                9. Do anyone use alternate disk lock apart from Xena. Any recommendations for a good helmet between 4-6k?
