Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Thanks for the reply brother, one thing i forget to mention that i have checked the clutch cable once i started to facing this issue, it was cut down partially and i changed it two days back, but still I couldn't feel any difference. It remains the same and the problems that i had mentioned was once after the cable changed.Originally posted by experimentalhead View PostIf you are also facing something like motorcycle is not catching up on speed and like it's about to die down, seems like either clutch cable or clutch plates. Get the clutch cable checked first.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Then it's time to look at, unfortunately, expensive pain points like clutch plate. Is it possible for you to elaborate a bit more, just for everybody's understanding, like, at what speed it feels like dying down, is it from the word go etc.Originally posted by samhassan View PostThanks for the reply brother, one thing i forget to mention that i have checked the clutch cable once i started to facing this issue, it was cut down partially and i changed it two days back, but still I couldn't feel any difference. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Actually the bike is not loosing its speed at any point or lagging in its perfomance, the real problem is with the gear engagement only. Cant engage to the first gear while bike slows down to around 5-10kmp/hr.Originally posted by experimentalhead View PostThen it's time to look at, unfortunately, expensive pain points like clutch plate. Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
This does not point toward a clutch plate issue. Seems more like an incorrectly set clutch cable considering the issue started after the change. What is the SVC saying about it? I would recommend opening and reinstalling the cable one. Ensure it's routed as it is supposed to be.Originally posted by samhassan View PostActually the bike is not losing its speed at any point or lagging in its performance, the real problem is with the gear engagement only. The following symptoms will help you identify a clutch wear issue:
- Reduced pickup and top speed. - Also, it will feel as if your engine is revving higher but the speed doesn't increase due to clutch slippage.
- Pulsating feel when leaving clutch in gear
- Hard gear shifts even after proper maintenance
- Reduced clutch engage/disengage travel
- Vehicle jerk when shifting gears from neutral

The Bangalore Service Camp was held over the last few days. I happened to meet a few of the officials from Mahavir Group. Here is the summary of information received from them.
Changes in service plan effective November 2018 (as soon as new DMS software is available at svc)
Spares localization process has started, we will get to see them by Dec, latest. They are even exploring selling some repetitive spares like brake pads as a package which will help reduce the overall cost
3 of the existing models - new bikes will roll out as early as the end of Nov across India.
New models expected by Mar/Apr 2019
Looks like Mahavir and Benelli are serious in getting things sorted on this front. A lot of feedback has been taken from people who came for the camp.Last edited by brokenbinil; 10-09-2018, 04:37 PM.

Were only the existing owners invited in this event?
Was there any press coverage?
BTW, although this is my first post in this thread, I have been contemplating buying the TNT 300 since a long time now, and had been silently following this thread all this while.
I'd really like to get an honest opinion from all the TNT 300 owners here - do you guys think it still makes sense to get the TNT 300 today? I mean, at least in theory it checks all my boxes, but there are a simply a lot more of capable competing models in the market today than there used to be when the 300 was originally launched. So, even though I was almost sold on the TNT 300 and had practically made up my mind to get the bike the moment it was made available again (after test rides, of course), I'm getting second thoughts these days.
I ride a 2013 Hero Karizma ZMR currently, and am looking for an upgrade in the ₹4-5 lakhs range (on road), that'd both work as a daily commuter and have decent touring capabilities. Comfortable seating posture and good engine refinement are my two most important requirements. I enjoy a fast but comfortable ride more than an adrenaline infused crazy speed run, and I value good low end torque more than the fastest 0-100 figures
Please share your opinions folks!

Thats good news , and its great that they had a contact session with current owners to understand the customer issues...

I suggest you wait till first qtr f next year, if the requirment is not immediate. Its a big investment and if something is coming up ( which it is always !) in next 6 months it might be worth the wait.Originally posted by sounakray View PostThis is great news! Thanks for sharing!

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
If you are not in a hurry, just wait till April 2019. At the present scenario I still feel the TNT 300 is still a good buy, it does tick the boxes for touring and daily city runs. And falls in that price range. Localising will bring costs down in future.Originally posted by sounakray View PostBTW, although this is my first post in this thread, I have been contemplating buying the TNT 300 since a long time now, and had been silently following this thread all this while.

firstly according to source Mahavir group is currently focusing phase 1 i.e. re launching currently available TNT25, TNT 600i/GT BS4 models by end of November afterwards they planning to launch 4 new models of 2-cylinder 500cc, based on 2 platforms i.e. Leoncino and TRK502 both will be having on road and off road variants.
Rest all the models showcased at Auto expo last year will be launched later in 2019.
Phase 2 will be localization of parts under Make in India campaign which will benefit cost of these bikes here in India. But this will happen only after launch of all the new 12 models from the brand. We can expect 2020 for this to happen.
Personally I'm eagerly waiting for TRK502 X since long time now and cant wait to see this bike in March/April. I don't know what exactly the price will be for the bike but can expect 4.5-5.5L Ex-showroom (fingers crossed)

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Received a text message and call from SVC regarding the official AARI Benelli Camp couple of days back.
Service camp at Surat is from 13th-15th of this month. The showroom here is temporarily closed.
But things have started to move at great pace it seems.
I also happened to get in touch with few guys from varying part of India for accessories, customization for T3 and happened to get good response from them. I was mainly looking for Saddle Stays, Top Rack and Backrest. But they're also awaiting for start of new production of Benelli bikes so that they can mass product the parts, need to wait till this month's end.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
I am looking for couple of suggestions from fellow riders as well after recent long trip on the bike.
1. Seat Cushioning - Which available product in market fits best on T3's seat ?
I already tried Fego Float. Is there any other decent product which fits well and has narrower size ? Has anyone tried Ride-On-Air here ?
2. Hand Guards - If anyone has been using any of these hand guards available in market ?
I tried KTM one's but after installing, charger clamp, mobile holder, and fog lamp switches.. I have no space left to fit guard which requires clamps fitting from the inner end. So looking for the one's which can be fitted from the outer end.-
