I doubt that Mahavir gorup will let any news out until everything is in place or signed....And its not likely the helpline staff will know about corporate decisions .....All we can do is hold tight and wait....I really doubt that Benelli will just up and go as India is the second largest two wheeler market in the world. And they did sell very well in the three years they have been....

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Even in Pune, I asked the AB Automottive guys and they say that they (AB Automottive) will take over the dealership as well as the Authorized Service from DSK, But they are not ready to give any further details.Originally posted by drive_angry View PostI called up Mahavir group helpline number to know the fate of Benelli. They said they have no info about the take over from DSK. May be at this point they don’t want to disclose any information.
Benellis weren’t selling much back then I don’t know what will happen now.
Below is the one-liner I received from Benelli India (DSK?):

Hi,Originally posted by drive_angry View PostBenellis weren’t selling much back then I don’t know what will happen now.
Not sure what was your source, but that is not correct. The sale was descent till the news of uncertainty of DSK's service and later the fall of DSK.
It's obvious that it may take time as these motorcycles being CKD transferring the ownership from DSK will take sometime.
I've a feeling that with the new partnership Benelli may launch TRK502 along with Leoncino.
Leoncino already received good reviews across so in case of India it shouldn't be different.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Guys,
Some positive news....I have been waiting for my headlight switch for the past three months....today I noticed a number in the Benelli site (088863 55004) and gave a call..a lady answered and was very customer friendly informed that DSK is not associated and Mahavir is taking care ( atleast it sounded Mahavir ! ). She said parts are beind despatched, took my mobile number and reg number. She said that she will send a mail to the Kochi service center and they will call you back..... ! ! !
I hope things are moving now.
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Update.....
I send a sms to my Kochi service manager regarding the converstion, and he immediately called back ( by the way this guy Saju is one of the best customer friendly manager I have come across ! ). He told me he was waiting to call me once the part has reached, it HAS been despatched and will come on Wednesday.....My day has been made....So it seems everything is sorted out

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Thanks Vnsk for the useful information. I called the same number (08886355004) and enquired about the current situation. She indeed confirmed that Mahavir Group has taken over from DSK and I tried to get some information about parts or services getting cheap to which she pushed me back saying that things will be made clear pretty soonOriginally posted by vnsk View PostGuys,

I told her that I am from Chandigarh and there were two showrooms (one in Chandigarh & other in Jalandhar) and both have closed shops. Where should I go if I want to test ride or have a general query. She confirmed that for now both Chandigarh and Jalandhar are closed as of now and she is not sure about the future. If I have any queries, she can have Manager from Benelli-Delhi (Don't know which showroom) to call me back to which I happily agreed. I will update once I have a word with him. Thanks!
PS: She also confirmed that new lot and new parts are being shipped across dealerships.

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Hello all,
i was a silent follower of this page for almost 3 months as i was planning to purchase one.
I got a new TNT300 white ABS with pirelli.
initially i was not a fan of super bikes(i hate the neck breaking acceleration). but i fell in love with tnt300 after the test drive(i tested KTM390, kawasaki z250 and dominar)
So decided to go for it. he purred like cat during starts and roared like a lion on the road.
once the first service is done i took her for a spin on expressway. Whoa.... I loved the way it roared past 120kmph.
thanks to everyone who posted their experiences it was really helpful.
i'm a touring lover and do atleast one tour every 2 months (min 800 kms). please suggest any groups with the same mindset(not the thrill seeking mindset).
I'm also looking for accessories and ideas on complete touring kit(Aux lamps, fog lamps, saddle stay etc.,)

Hi,
Welcome to the forum , and congratulations on your purchase. I am not a 300 owner , but a 600i. I too was planning to buy a used 300 then booked a new one and ended up buying a used 600i by chance ! !
There are a lot of sites to buy aux lamps, the best is Aliexpress. If you have cash to spare nothing like Denali but they cost a bomb. I have ordered Goldrunway 30W 3000 Lumens lights. It cost me 947 Yuan ( my friend who is in China is buying and bringing it over this month) with holder ( thats app Rs 9500). These are IP68 rated waterproof.
You can get cheaper ones starting at Rs. 2000 a pair at local stores...I had scouted them but was not happy and finally decided to settle on Goldrunway lights. You will get cheaper than these which are 20 W also. They come in Spot and Flood. I chose Flood because I like a spread and am not a fast rider at night, but a safe one.

Good news indeed!Originally posted by vnsk View PostHi guys,
An update - Yesterday my SVC manager at Kochi called me up that the spares have come and to bring my bike on Saturday to replace the light switch.
When you ll visit the showroom, can you please ask
1. When is the new lot arriving?
2. Would there be any change in the prices
3. Would happy savings plan be still in place?
Thanks!

Re: Benelli TNT 300 Ownership Experience
Took the bike today to the SVC and got the switch replaced. The entire backlog of spares have come it seems. THe showroom here has shutdown , in the sense the company running it had moved the staff to their other concerns. The SVC manager had no idea when the new lot will come. But he said that the TRK 502 will be luanched in Nov. The happy savings has been stopped and he has not idea when it will start or whether the regular service rates will come down. But I guess who ever paid for the happy savings plan will be able to continue.Originally posted by drive_angry View PostGood news indeed!

My service is due last week of this month...So I will know if there is any difference.

Hi, I am a Benelli 600i owner. I have a feedback. One of the main issues with the bike was the maintenance cost....This is the only bike in its class which has to be serviced every 4 months with an avg of Rs. 6000 per service. Kawasaki is 6000 kms or 6 months...Most bigger liter class and the 750 Harely has it one yr or 10000 kms. So the service cost becomes a bit exhorbitant so to say. One reason why a lot of guys bought and started selling it within 2 yrs. Second is the spare parts. A chain sprocket kit costs app Rs. 20000 and wears out if you use carefully at around 25 thousand kms . Likewise the brake pads. Almost everyone is buying it from Aliexpress instead of the service center. I suggest you go through the Xbhp thread on 600i and the TNT 300. Its got great customer feed back for you. DSK priced everything exhorbitantly, driving away the customers. When they realised they started a Happy Savings Plan for service, where you need to change the oil only every second service and brought the cost down by 40%. So there was no need to change the oil at 4000 kms but at 8000 kms ( maybe by using a higher grade, but the customer saved a lot). I hope you take the feedback in the right sense and would love to see more Benellis on the road. Regards, A very happy owner Suresh Kumar

Hi this is sudeesh from hyderabad i own tnt 300 abs version from a month and i have done with the first servicing this saturday at mahavir benelli. and i got the information reg service package as mahavir is not offering any new service package by now and the existing will be accepted till the expires. and they said that they will update once they introduce the service package. also said that they are introducing few new models along with the existing models and production will start in month or couple it seems. i didn't find any difference in billing it costed me around 3k for the first service.
I just need few clarifications about tnt 300 from existing owners plz, as i took this bike for daily companion and the traffic is like bumper to bumper most of the time, is it ok with the bike to ride in such traffic conduction ? it heat up till 97 and the fan triggers to cool till it reaches 90. also any suggestions and precautions that i can take with the bike would be really helpful.
Thanks in advance
