A friend had it done for his R3 - it cost him around Rs 6700 total. While initially satisfied with the job, he said it has started peeling off already, and is planning to remove the PPF entirely.

Hi Brokenbinil, can you post some closer Pics of the PPF film, how did you get it done did you remove the tank and got it done or directly. Also, mine is a white color Benelli and if I get the PPF film done will it turn yellow or will you find the difference.

Wouldn't recommend it for white ... It does start yellowing on white background. ... What you can go for is something called quartz coating ... Similar to Teflon coating but better. But its expensive. Friend got his gt600 done for 6k.

But since the portion of the tank and the other parts are covered by the film it will look the same and also I think that wont make lot of difference in the color. Well why I am keen on the PPF is that as it will protect the tank or the exposed plastic parts from getting scratches.

I recently had a small incident were I was traveling at a speed of 60kmp and I was speeding and suddenly the car ahead of me came towards right and I had no way to go and tried to overtake him from the left but then there was a turn ahead and I panicked and jammed the back break and there was sand all over that place I wanted to lean and complete the turn but I could not so I also had to use the front break well the speed reduced but I went and hit the walk way luckily I didn't fall down but since the walk way was quite higher it scraped through the left frame under the tank and good that I left the front number plate intact or else the front mudguard and the shocks would have taken a hit. So keeping all this in mind I wanted to go for the PPF.

Also can you guys tell me when you jam the back break and it gets locked, can you even lift the gears so that you will be able to control the speed by engine breaking and hence avoid collusion. Well also is engine breaking fine with these well developed engines. I use to do it on my pulsar earlier some times it took it. OR any other suggestions.

Enna machi ? Sowkiyama ? hehe!!

I bought the black 300, @dhwazz29 bought green... But I should've bought the white later dropped it as it's difficult to maintain. Its completely your choice. BTW i guess they have stopped the red color. If yes, then we have three colours to choose from 1. Black, 2. Green and 3. White.

If you ask me, go for the Black.

Engine breaking is good and gives you more control in such situations.
