    It kind of amazes me every time that why do they do it? Forget the 2017 model, they didn't even launch the red color they had world wide in 2015 model. They have the same manufacturing plant for parts, they have channels setup to source stuff from Indonesia then why miss on updates/options.

      Its a logistical nightmare to have parts of bikes which have low sales.. thats why i guess we didnt get any colour changes..

        Yamaha india is known to play holi with their lineup, so expect new colours in 2018. Atleast matt grey should be coming to India.

            We didnt get the 2016 scheme also.. The sales dont justify the logistic cost of importing many colours. its the same situation with kawasaki too..

              Hi Shiv,

              The dealer in gurgaon has told me that they will deliver the 2017 manufactured model in March 2017 in which the 10th character of the chassis number will be 'H' and that's how you can determine the year of manufacture. There will be no upgrades this year as per the dealer.

                        Sooo another update.. The dealer apologised to me personaly for refusing spares and have got call three times within two days and apparantly they have promised to arrange for a test ride for R3 also.. fingers crossed.. Go team Yammy..

                            Hi Danish,

                            The dealer here in Gurgaon has got TR vehicle (2015 Model) and he gave the bike to me for TR without the pillion and just took my licence. He told me ride it as much as you want and I was so happy. He blindly trusted me. Dealers in Delhi NCR did not really entertain TRs but this dealer was really welcoming. I have booked the bike from this dealer (Sidharth Yamaha)

                                Went for recall today, yamaha has changed two parts:

                                1. Tank lock bracket
                                2. Main switch sub assy

                                There was some change in switch assy but found no difference in brackets.

                                Yamaha gave two coupons, one was free service coupon worth ₹400/- and other is free engine oil change coupon for R3.
