    Let's see.
Any work, whatever it is should be done in a SVC only, no work will and should be done in a showroom area.
If perfect rider dealers called, you can either take it to them or take it to the place from where you bought the bike, no R3 is sold by a dealer who doesn't have service facility.
Or another thing you can do is register to any of the service centres/dealers from the list of dealers in the Yamaha website. These are only the places where the recall repairs can be done.

I got the bike from Orion motors, Koramangala, All service and recall works i get it done from Bangalore Wheels Rajaji nagar, for recalls i have always registered for it online as preference chosen at Bangalore wheels and just went there and got it done.

Yes, they do have their SVC nearby. Probably, I would go for bannerghatta SVC. How much time it took for you to complete the replacement?
Update: Just called up the SVC, they said they can do it in 2-3 hrs due to weekend load.

About 2 hours or so , since it involves removing the tank i think they take a bit of time and patience in doing it right.
Don't forget to collect the free oil change and service coupon while getting the recall work done.

            Hello Everyone!

I had booked the Yamaha R3 on 19 Feb 2017 from Yamaha in Gurgaon. Its been more than 15 days and there is no update from the dealer regarding the bike. I spoke to the dealer, he told me that there is no update from the company. So I presume the bike is not dispatched. I wrote to Yamaha, they are saying there is some freaking govt policy change for imports. Not sure what it is??

Wanted check that are we expecting an updated version of the Yamaha R3 in 2017? Are we expecting a BS 4 compliant model in 2017? Was Yamaha sleeping since 2015 and realized that they have to make their motorcycles BS 4 compliant!!

Thanks Chandan. I am saving those emails to Yamaha. I just went 2 or 3 pages back on this thread and read that Karthik has got a second hand R3 ridden for 559 kms in 2.8 lacs. Still waiting for someone who could tell me that he/she had bought a 2017 model.

ABS won't be coming till next year according to the tech at my SVC. But it supposedly can be retro-fitted to older models.

All I got with mine is the bike cover, service manual and user manual.

Make sure they do the PDI, there is a section towards the back of the service manual that they have to fill out as well. Mine wasn't done and was told by the sales guy that they don't do it, but in fact they are required to by Yamaha; it's in the manual. Had to go back 2 weeks later because of a loose battery connection which caused issues while starting the bike.
