Never ever go for any cheap frame sliders, better to go for puig or R&G frame sliders which are two point ones and would not touch knee.Originally posted by on_the_road View Post

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
You are right, even I was thinking the same but with Puig or R&G they don't really justify the price in my mind thinking that in case I get into a slide like that then replacing the fairing would be cheaper than getting those. I am actually looking for something which will help protect it in any tip off in parking lots considering in India everybody parks their bike so close to each other. Makes my heart palpitate every time I leave it in the parking lot on side stand.
Other option I saw these sliders sold by Yamaha in US https://www.shopyamaha.com/product/d...ycle&d=28%7C28
These kind of fits the bill. What do you think? Or is there any other suggestion you might have to help reduce the falling anxiety I live with

First of all no frame sliders would save your bike's fairing in case of high speed slide, but if you have any cheap frame sliders installed and your bike face a nasty fall then that frame slider would damage frame too but on the other hand with puig or R&G frame sliders they break themselves and frame is not damaged because of being two point ones.Originally posted by on_the_road View PostYou are right, even I was thinking the same but
IMO install puig or R&G frame sliders only otherwise don't install it at all.Last edited by Chandan92; 03-19-2017, 08:09 PM.

Re: Yamaha YZF R3 Owners Reviews and Experiences
perfectly normal bro. BTW Welcome to the R3 Club.Originally posted by thomas11 View PostBut it got heated up..Before itself to 3 bar..Is that normal ..In traffic sometimes it doesn't turn ON in a single and then it takes time...
3 bars is normal
should not go beyond for a longer duration
when in traffic, turn off the bike with the kill switch so that the radiator fan keeps running.
If the bike does not turn on in a single instant, turn off the ignition and turn it back on. The bike will start.
