Even ask for follow ups and latest update.

Yes, no dealer is stocking R3 since some time. They secure a booking amount and then place the order for company to ship the bike(assembled earlier). Even i booked blue color. By the time i reached home the matte black color of R15 parked in display gripped my mind. While i was thinking, the next day dealer confirmed blue is not available at factory. Last one to be delivered was to a you-tuber (channel named Dino's vault from Hyd). So even with this change if bike landed in showroom on 9th day and considering Delhi's proximity to Yamaha plant I don't think it should take as much time as your dealer is asking for. Somewhere in thread it was mentioned that dealers generally get the bikes allotted when there are more than 1 booking. Not sure how true this is.Originally posted by Janesh.J View Post

Firstly the dealer does not stock the bike. They take 1 lac upfront to book the bike. The bike is ordered after the payment is cleared. Then the dealership confirms with the company. The company processes the order on 1st come 1st basis (i guess). Company process is very slow.Originally posted by m@v View Post

There are multiple dealers in my city, not sure if they sell the R3. I should have inquired.

Firstly thanks to everyone for sharing their experiences in this thread. This helped me a lot to narrow down on R3.
I took the delivery today in Delhi.
Got a discount of 25k. I liked the way sales rep handled the entire booking with transparency and every effort made by him to comply to my demands of changing the coolant and engine oil. Also parking the bike in complete isolation in basement with 0 kms on odometer. Bike landed at showroom, 9th day after booking.However the entire delivery process was nothing to write about. Not even a basic key handover or any cover unwrap.
I am getting back to bikes after a gap of 4 years. My last was Duke 200. Couple of scooties during these 4 yrs. As soon as i clocked first 20 kms i was all smiles and realized this journey with R3 is going to be fun.Last edited by m@v; 02-23-2020, 09:41 PM.Leave a comment:
