Now the piece of disturbing news..

Autocar (Arpit Philips) test rode the bike in Oct'15 during the media launch and as per the other riders came back impressed after a 600km ride with only issues being highlighted being the brakes, a sedate riders bike.

However, now in the Autocar Dec'15 edition, this same bike is compared to the Benelli TNT 300 and the same rider has highlighted two major flaws with the Mojo - Does not track straight after 30km (means constant corrections are required to keep the bike on the straight and narrow, a major flaw on a bike designed to be a tourer) and the second point being that it overheats. Again a major flaw.

My query is how can the same bike tested in Oct'15 pass with almost flying colors and come Dec'15 it's got two major flaws.
    Wouldn't a 600km ride highlight these flaws.

Confused - conflicting views from the same source

    Any thoughts....

It might be the same bike but if it didnt track straight, it might have been crashed sometime in between and something related to the chassis has been compromised while at it.
When i read that and shared it around the groups, I was advised to take a journalists words only if it did any good or warned me about anything that needed an eye.

None of the test drives bikes behaved that way. The bikes tracked straight, no wobbles. I occassionally encounter a mojo on the road and they only have good things to say.
30kmph onwards if it weaved and wobbled, the person was supposed to give in the bike for a check up rather than riding it further. Dont you think so?

Regarding the overheating, nothing comes close to my 390. Well, owners here can explain better to that.

I own a mojo and it tracks super straight without having to do any adjustments whatsoever...
Heated when driving in slow moving traffic? I agree...but the heat is deflected from riders legs pretty well and the fan kicks in and does the job pretty well...

Hi as u r owner of Mojo u can answer my queries
          1) How braking performance of Mojo? Is it adequate? How is front & rear brake?
          2) How is pillon seat? Is it sufficient for city commuting?
          3) Are twin headlights bright enough for highway?
          4) How much smooth engine is & how much it is reliable?

          Thanx in advance.

Braking on mojo is different...front breaks are progressive and it may need some getting used to. But they do their job perfectly and will stop u where and when u need...rear brakes are good too...given the weight they stop the vehicle pretty well...

Pillion seat is on smaller side...I weigh 70 and and height is 5 6 average build..I sit comfortably...but for touring not really...that's bad news...good news is lot of mojo owners have done great seat mods with very reasonable cost..and lot of options....so u don't have to worry much about it.

I strictly avoid driving on highways in the night...when I drive in the city with no street lights...the stock lights have a good throw...perhaps I will leave this question to someone who drove mojo on highways during nights

Reliable--- that's what it is mate...haven't heard of any breakdowns..from couple of hundred of mojo owners...it's very reliable and the servicing is really great....
Engine is very smooth..with very very less vibes...it can cruise at 110 to 120 all day long...couple of owners have driven1000kms in a day...it is very good..
One thing u should know about bike...gears have to be shifted perfectly and strictly according to speed....

Let me know if u need more info.

The reason is finance I am working in superb company still doesn't have liquidty to invest 2+ in bangalore and recently acquired home and new car, you guys know how difficult it will be.
please suggest what are the better means with less finance responsibility we can make a parking place for this machine.

Just tried writing on the blog of Mr. Arpit Phillips that mentioned the above review in the December 2015 issue that "Mr. Arpit Phillips the question mark in not on the bikes reviewed by the reviewer that is you Mr. Arpit Phillips because in September you rode the bike for 600 kms and the bike then was not wobbling and was perfectly in straight line. Now that benelli is paying you suddenly this Mahindra bike has started wobbling. Wow. I do not know about others but I am not following Autocar India review anymore in my life."

And this post was on hold for review and later after 20 mins was deleted by Autocar India for obvious reasons.

                  Edit*
Autocar India contacted me by email. Mr. Akbar Merchant contacted saying they apologise for the comments in the review and that Mr. Arpit Phillips is no more working with Autocar India and they would soon be rectifying the review and apologising for the same.

Hello guys, iam new to the group, i hav booked a Mojo and will get the delivery mostly on 18th or 19th of may. Iam so thrilled and exited to get my hands on the Mojo and take it for a ride.
As safety comes first, i have got all my gears.

RYNOX Tornado Pro Jacket with Knox Armour
                    Scoyco k11 h11
                    zeus zs 811 Helmet.

Before i had a Royal Enfield Stranded 350 of 2000 model. I sold it out 2 years back. Now after a 3 years gap finally i found my kind of machine. I was so confused between Mojo and Duke 390. But i went for Mojo as iam more kind of a adventure tourer person.

Can anyone of u guys tell me what all things should i take care while getting the delivery of bike, and about the engine break-in, and what all should i consider during riding and all.

Buddy... All of these magazine reviews are paid reviews.. You pay them for writing a good review about a M800 and they are going to ridicule a Bmw in front of it. I work in the hotel industry where media folks have approached us and blatantly demanded free stays at our hotels else they are going to write bad reviews about our hotels. The bureaucracy is screwed to this extent. I always go by user reviews and not by media reviews be it anything that i have to buy.

Thank you Sagar. I asked because I was planning to get LED headlamps for the Mojo.

I also wanted to know the headlamp bulb type. Is it a H4 35/35w? I have not booked mine yet, waiting for the ABS. I have travel plans next month, so thought could buy these stuff. I hope the ABS version will be out by July, right in time when I return ;p

The sales rep. at mahindra said it would take a minimum of 4 or 5 months more to launch, but also told me that the ABS unit can be retrofitted on the existing mojos. Expect the cost to be around the 25k - 30k mark.
