Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Got a test ride of Mojo and below are the observations that I had:
- The bike is tall, big and heavy (For a 5ft 6in that I am). I come from Apache which is very much suitable for short riders. But once on Mojo, somehow I as able to tame it and it rode well. Only problem where short riders would curse their genes is when the engine would not be delivering power i.e. adjusting bike in parking esp. in an uneven area e.g. road side muddy dhaba or making a u-turn on an uphill where both feet can't be same level. Regarding U-turn radius, yes it is huge but not a deal breaker.
- Saying there are not vibrations would be a false claim. Yes there are but they are negligible though.
- I liked the horn.
- Couldn't judge braking but seems adequate to me.
- Exhaust note is good.
- Pickup and power delivery are very good. Engine is very smooth.
- I drove the bike with a pillion and she felt comfortable for 3 KM journey of the test ride (compared to Apache).
Overall I liked it. My wife liked it more in terms of looks when compared to Himalayan (wife's choice matters a lot for a married person!)
I test rode the Himalayan as well. I liked the stance and overall simplicity of it but I just couldn't get comfortable with the engine and gears. They were very hard. Had to put in a lot of power to bring it to neutral.
I was confused b/w CBR 250R, Mojo and Himalayan for a bike for touring. CBR250R though is close to perfect for touring, is outdated a bit and Honda is not showing any interest for it in Indian market. Remaining two, I was more for a Himalayan but now I feels Mojo would be better given the test ride experiences. (RE quality, I doubt)
In all the comparison videos by professionals, ultimately they are saying Himalayan is better than Mojo. Can someone here shed light on their experiences with both the bikes or what was their driving factor for their buying decision for Mojo?
P.S. Also, the showroom guy tells that an ABS kit would be available for current Mojos when ABS version launches. Is it true?
The guy also says that the Mojo uses Ducati original parts. Too good to be true.

when I brought Mojo, Himalayan was not launched, but even if it did I would have still gone for Mojo just for the quality and technology it offers.Originally posted by Vivs.D View PostGot a test ride of Mojo and below are the observations that I had:

Riding posture, ride quality, build quality and Mahindra's focus on customer service for this product all contributed towards buying decision.
it's been 5 months and the bike is running quite good without any niggles.
Retrofitting ABS is still a mystery. I participated in the Jungle trail (4 day ride event by Mahindra) and in the session with Govind Rajan (R&D head) the same question was asked. His response didn't provide any clarity.
Bike's fuel injection is supplied by Ducati energia, probably that would be what the showroom guys were referring to.
Good luck on your buying decision bro

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Congratulations mate. Welcome to the Mojo Tribe. Matte Red looks awesome indeed. If it was launched earlier I would've had tough time choosing between the Matte Red and the Volcano Red. Both of them have killer looksOriginally posted by gauravd1985 View PostYesterday I received my Mojo in Red Matte colour. It looks like Ducati Monster.

Re: Mahindra Mojo Owners Reviews and Experiences
Himalayan and mojo can be compared only in the price.
IMHO Mojo is much better in build and spares quality.
Mojo can have 130-120+kmph relaxed drive on highway and him will do it for 110-100.
if we see ownership thread of Himalayan in this forum, you will come to know the quality of the bike and how niggles are there.
If you have Royal time and patience to visit the RE Ass now and then you can go for RE him or more concerned about reliability then look some where else.

So your bike came with the plastic cover on the rear caliper? Or you got it installed?Originally posted by gauravd1985 View PostYesterday I received my Mojo in Red Matte colour. It looks like Ducati Monster.
This seems to be the only new thing on the bike since November last year.200 | 300 | 1200 BOXER
