Kestopur is too far away from my home so I'll be servicing it in Topsia, near Science City. However, I can always go and talk to him if he is the real deal...

The seller is at fault here. Before bringing in the bike, their own team does a PDI and then you do your own PDI after they are done. The fact that they did not / were not able to detect the scratches puts them in fault.

Ooo, didn't knew that. However, I contacted Yamaha and they seemed to have taken this as a complaint. Now to wait and see what happens.

Yeah, I observed them too the first day, but don't think the light throw is being greatly affected.

But it still feels to not to get a premium product that costs more than 1 Lakh.

Somehow I think that Yamy has gone little down on quality inspection. But one they have seriously taken is fuel efficiency, I am getting hell lot of it. (45kmpl in traffic, touchwood!). What you all are getting??

Yes, I think I'm also getting 45km/l within the city traffic. Sometimes had to open up the throttle but didn't went beyond 5k rpm.

re: Yamaha YZF- R15 S Owners Reviews and Experiences

1st servicing done. it costed Rs. 917:
                      550 for oil
                      167 for oil filter
200 for chain cleaning and lubing with Yamalube.

The mechanics are somewhat OK. Hearing a vibration noise from the looking glass at 4K rmp, that is also while riding.

By the way, which one will you prefer, Motul or Yamalube?

I am using motul 7100 FS on my R15 V2 and it's running super smooth with fuel efficiency of 38-40 kmpl but I think yamaha is bringing FS engine oil for R15 also which R3 uses and its 450 rs. This is what yamaha SVC guys told me.

I got my question wrong, it should have been:
Which one will you prefer for chain maintenance, Motul or Yamalube?

However, thanks for the info for the engine oil. FS means Fully Synthetic?

And one more question, did anyone installed double/center stand? SVC guys told 900 aprox.

I have used both Motul & Yamalube, IMO yamalube is more stickier as compared to Motul but is costlier in terms of volume.

And yes FS means fully synthetic.
I have installed tank pad from yamaha only which used to come with 2012-13 limited edition R15. Attached a pic. Click image for larger version

So which one will be good, Motul or Yamalube?

And I asked the SVC near my home and they didn't had it, I'll try a different SVC.
