Oil cleaner is 40 INR

Yeah. I have put it (new yamalube, costs 450/-) from authorised service center (kolkata yamaha factory shop), it is good, but not as good as previous Yamalube 15w50, they told me to drain it within 2500-3000km range.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostI am using motul 7100 FS on my R15 V2 and it's running super smooth with fuel efficiency of 38-40 kmpl but I think yamaha is bringing FS engine oil for R15 also which R3 uses and its 450 rs. This is what yamaha SVC guys told me.
Better is Motul 300v 15w50 FS, Stickier, Smooth & Lasts atleast 5000-6000km.Regards

[QUOTE=saikatbyte;1194055]I think every FS engine oil last 5k kms and SS engine oil lasts 2-3k kms I think SVC guys have quoted wrong drain interval.Originally posted by Vivek_G View PostOil filter change (Rs 167)

Get it 1st serviced at Kestopur Yamaha Factory Shop or BT Road Aquad. The mechanics are really good and do great job fixing any problem to Nil. Sudipta Goswami is a nice person.Originally posted by Rajarshi Mandal View PostKestopur is too far away from my home so I'll be servicing it in Topsia, near Science City. However, I can always go and talk to him if he is the real deal...

[QUOTE=Chandan92;1194058]The mechanic told fully synthetic oil gets vapourised, check after 2500km, if oil level decreases, then drain it within few hundred kms, and also told to not to switch back to mineral after fully synthetic oil.Originally posted by saikatbyte View Post

First service already done in Topsia. The mechanics are ok there, not great but ok. However, will go to Kestopur for a chitchat and see if I can do the 2nd service form there.Originally posted by saikatbyte View PostGet it 1st serviced at Kestopur Yamaha Factory Shop or BT Road Aquad. Just follow the rpm limits mentioned in the manual as per your km reading and no sudden bursts of acceleration. Also moderate engine breaking helps (personal opinion). Always accelerate linearly with occasional outbursts.Originally posted by IntoOblivion View PostGuys, I 've got my R15s track white last week..till now I've covered 550 kms...never went above 5k rpm..getting close to 50 kmpl on highway...can someone enlighten me about run-in process?

re: Yamaha YZF- R15 S Owners Reviews and Experiences
First time i am hearing FS engine oil lasts for 2.5k kms, even if you ride aggressively then also FS oil lasts atleast 4k kms. For example duke 390 drain interval is 7.5 k kms but I still change it at 5k kms. Senior members can contribute their thoughts on this.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostThe mechanic told fully synthetic oil gets vapourised, check after 2500km, if oil level decreases, then drain it within few hundred kms, and also told to not to switch back to mineral after fully synthetic oil.

AFAIK, FS lasts long but highly priced.Originally posted by Chandan92 View PostFirst time i am hearing FS engine oil lasts for 2.5k kms, even if you ride aggressively then also FS oil lasts atleast 4k kms. However Chandan, you said that it's 450, so I'm little confused here.
While visiting the SVC, I sat on V2, and there I felt no difference except that the R15s sits are little softer, but you will get used it it.Originally posted by judebrent View PostCan someone tell me what's the seating posture of the R15S like? Confirmable or aggressive? Thanks

I got my question wrong, it should have been:
Which one will you prefer for chain maintenance, Motul or Yamalube?
However, thanks for the info for the engine oil. FS means Fully Synthetic?
And one more question, did anyone installed double/center stand? SVC guys told 900 aprox.
Got this one for 125rs from Service station.

So you need to still lean forward as much as was the case with V2?Originally posted by Rajarshi Mandal View PostAFAIK, FS lasts long but highly priced.
