  • Turning Radius and Dashed Dreams

    So..
I didn't know that R15's have quite a turning radius. Today was my driving test and I failed. Although most of it was due to my novice level driving skills.
Word of advice for new guys like me, RTO Panvel has a tough driving track.
Any suggestions for me? Someone been through this?
    Cheers.

This amuses me...! You had to take the test on an R15...?
Was that your R15 or provided by the RTO?

I mean I can totally understand that for any first time rider, riding a fully faired sports bike like this for the first time has be difficult. More so when it's a test.

      Regards.

HaHa I totally understand the jibe. In hindsight, I feel idiotic. That was my own bike
I have been driving around on it and thought I could thread the test track. Well, bugger !!

        • DIRTSACK Forester Magnetic Neo Tankbag

          Hi guys,

Im looking to buy Dirtsack Forester Magnetic tankbag for my R15S. Our gas tank made up of steel material and not plastic or fibre i guess. Can we use Magnetic tank bag in our motorcycle? is it compatible? I just want to clear things up before making an order. Cheers!!

You can. The magnets work fine.

I've been using Gods Zeon R1 tank bag since a few months. This one is a small tank bag and it moves around due to light weight. I bought it mainly to keep the mobile visible for GPS navigation, as it's kinda tricky to use a mobile holder with R15's clip-ons.

If your tank bag is large, how will you comfortably lean on to handlebars?

            Regards.

From the Google images, it seems like a large enough bag to hinder your leaning, TBH. But don't take my words on it.

I was in the same situation as you, I tried a few tank bags in local moto shops and found all to be a hindrance in riding and specially turning. It was a risk so I had to compromise and get a smaller bag which is only useful for a very little use case.

Do a test before ordering - Just fill a normal backpack(college/ 15' laptop bag) fully and keep on your tank. Now sit at idle and check the posture, comfort and turning etc. If you think it's good, then go for it. For me, it wasn't so I didn't.

Or go check any local moto shops for a demo.

                Regards.

Viaterra Fly is a good fit and doesn't hinder handling of tye bike. I have used one in varied conditions and satisfied with it..

                  Ride safe and have fun.

                  • At last found a good Mobile mount for Clip-on Handle bar.

Installed a new mobile mount for the bike.
Cost Rs.550(w/o Charger) +100 (for mobile charger)
The mount is very stable. Tried 100+ speed and also bumpy roads no issues.
                    Installed in GP road, Chennai.

As far as I know, you don’t get Stickers separately, you have to change whole fairing.

Tired of the mess which service centres have done.

Try Torcente bangalore. I have been servicing my Fz25 currently and R15 in past. They are fine. You can watch while they do the service. They wont charge you anything extra other than required.
