Re: Yamaha YZF- R15 S Owners Reviews and Experiences
Nothing special I stopped giving it to service center after 2nd service after they tightened the chain too much. I came to know after 2 days. Chain was too hot to touch and made weird noise. Then I started to service on my own. Nothing special just used engine oil or sometimes w90 gear oil every 1000 kms. Never cleaned just pressure washed. I never adjusted the chain because I believed slack is beneficial for the chain life. Might be once in 15~20K I have adjusted it. I have to admit that I replaced front sprocket 3 times as the front sprocket revolution is 3 times high and so the wear rate is 3 times higher.Originally posted by Ashwiin Napster View PostWow, that's a clean and crisp write-up. Just curious, did your sprockets really last that long? What's your cleaning and lubing interval?
Its really gem of a bike. I am not impressed with the latest Yamaha quality though. Infact I replaced Air filter @ every 30K interval just blowing air @10k to clean the dust and oil filter at every 3rd oil change or @10k. I inspect at every oil service for debris and condition of the filter. Using only Yamaha lube no fancy stuff, though I tried during initial days and switched to OE lube. Coolant @ 30K interval. This is due now. Also it is very economical to run than my dads scooty it hardly gives 35-38 kmpl and my steed is right from 1.8 km on the odo till now is always 50+. Infact in recent times it broke its own record 52.4 kmpl in city and 54+ on mixed highway/city runs.Originally posted by Om1234 View PostAmazing to see ,that your bike has completed 62K kms with such less maintainence.

Not in case of R15 but in case of proven bikes like CBR 250R also.

Hello riders,
I was a silent reader here since few months.
I don’t know whether this piece of information is relevant here.
Mods, Kindly move if not appropriate.
R15 S production stopped and now it is on inventory clearance sale. (Source : A reputed dealer at my location)
I hope few might already know about this.
I already doubted this since there was no ABS news about for R15S when every Yamaha 150cc+ models were getting that.
Why a silent reader posting this?
I love R15 and it was dream bike. I thought of getting a track white S model but Unfortunately I was not able to get that and it is gone today. When Life Throws You A Curve..

Fellas, would be great if someone has observed this. Does anyone hear any sound from the speedo console when the tacho needle does a full sweep back and forth? I did observe a very faint krrr krrr sound when the tacho needle does the customary wake up sweep. The speedometer as a unit works perfectly fine, no problems observed. Do let me know your observations.
Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Nope, never heard of it. The only sound i hear while that happens is of the fuel pump/injectors.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostFellas, would be great if someone has observed this. Actually, the issue was isolated to a motor sound inside the tacho unit that makes the tacho work. Was affirmed nothing to worry.Originally posted by Ashwiin Napster View PostWhat was the issue actually?

Re: Yamaha YZF- R15 S Owners Reviews and Experiences
Guys, Im looking for a good and safe smartphone holder to be used on R15S, since we have the clipons instead the conventional handlebar, im not able to find the compatible one for our R15S. If anyone using mobile holder in our motorcycle, please share your experience. Thank you.

I'd say RAM mounts are the best out there in the market. I haven't used one personally, but i have heard good reviews from guys who have been using it.Originally posted by Saravanan Murdlock View PostGuys, Im looking for a good and safe smartphone holder to be used on R15S, since we have the clipons instead the conventional handlebar, im not able to find the compatible one for our R15S. I've been using RAM Mount from 2017, got them for about 3.5k IIRC at the time, they're simply brilliant, you can go for them eyes closed and I say this after having spent way more money than what a RAM Mount costs on different cheaper mounts that snap within a short term of use.Originally posted by Ashwiin Napster View PostI'd say RAM mounts are the best out there in the market.
