Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Hello, i dont think i can convince my parents to give me 21k for a single disk brake ( that too just for some extra effort) its not a compulsory part!Originally posted by vipulsingh View PostHi Anway!!
There may be two reasons to happen:
1st may be the internal wiring is getting short when you were trying the self start. When you press it, the voltage was getting dropped and this causes the display to put off.
2nd may be the battery draining issue when you apply the load on it..
Please have the service immediately to get rid off the problem..
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Hi Rohan!!
Thanks for the post.. Nice to see you.. If you go for 2nd disc then install the genuine one. Benelli will offer the standard parts that's why they charge you more.
Moreover please let me know what you were telling about the gear shifts, the 2nd gear.
What you feel about the vibrations and brakes after the post 1st service?..
As for the gears -
The new bikes comes with synchromesh gearbox on it benelli and some other company have derived it from race bikes so its a different structure. The 1 N 2 gears are on other shaft and 3 4 5 6 are on other shaft . Unlike the sliding mesh gearbox which are on same shaft. So when i drop gears to bring the bike on neutral. Its 6 5 4 3 and then the counter shaft has to go to another shaft to select 2nd gear which on another shaft is revolving at its different speed (some complex engineering) due to this " gear confusion" happens that means the counter shaft locks the gears when it comes from 3rd . So when my tyre locked at this point its not because of the engine , its because of the gearbox lockup. This happens only is speeds over 50 i guess. Happened twice with me on 80. To avoid this a solution which the benelli guy gave was when dropping the gear engage the clutch at 3rd gear so as to bring the speeds of both the shafts to almost similar speeds then engage 2nd , 1st or neutral.

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Done with 2nd service yesterday and here's my experience after covering 180kms.
The most surprising thing was the refinement improved with smoothness in the gear box and no vibes! Braking has improved alot and significant improvement in handling too! I don't know what they did but surely after the service i am more confident in flicking the bike at high speeds with stability! And touched 142kmph with pillion without stressing the bike.

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
Try driving a pulsar rs . Use its front brake and you will get to how improved your brakes are. I dont mean to be rude but thats all in your head! You just get habitual of using the brakes and once you do , you can acctually use them in a better way , but they are nothing better of what they were earlierOriginally posted by abhishek_pustake View PostDone with 2nd service yesterday and here's my experience after covering 180kms.

Yes , due to wear and tear they do catch a little more friction but nothing more.
And i also doubt if handeling can be improved , its already good but i dont think you can just service and make it better!

Re: Benelli TNT 25 Ownership Experience
2nd Service update -
Yestarday done second service of my Tnt 25.
Cost breakup as follows-
Engine Oil - 1100 Rs (qty 1.5 ltr)
Oil filter - 210 Rs
Chain Cleaning - 311
(Ps note i always clean and lube my bike's chain at home but while doing servicing also get it clean and lubed from them)
Labour - 1680
Stator coil assembly changed - under warranty.
Total servicing cost - 3749 (after adsing stax and vat)
Experience and difference -
After doing second service bike has became more smooth and gear shifts have become super smooth. And would rate DSK Benelli 5 stars for providing quality service and addressing the stator coil issue effectively. And job performed on bike was satisfactory.
As you were aware my bikes button start was not working issue identified was stator coil gone bad due to which battery was not getting charged which resulted in engine not getting cranked even after applying starter. Change of stator coil took about 40 minutes and it was handeled very effectively by service personnel.
Overall very happy and satisfied by purchase and will munch more and more miles.
And regarding the accesories availability people at service center are also clueless so i sent mail to the [email protected] id and expressed the concern regarding this. Will wait for reply and update you all regarding same. Thanks,
Anway Kale.
