Check for chain slackness. Tight chain causes bike to overheat , especially when pillion is onboard.
I have got my bike's chain adjusted for 5th time in 1000 kms. God knows how it gets tight on its own!!

Those who were looking at fitting the visor on RTR 200 can enquire at nearest TVS ASS as here in Mumbai they have started selling it as accessory for Rs 250 with fitting charges extra of around Rs 150

                Hello Folks,

I just completed about 8k kms on my RTR 200 , Its been a fantastic ride so far. Have shared a few pics too. Initially has some issue with chain noise but got that fixed.
Its a Metallic White NON-ABS version with TVS Remora Tyre's, to be frank these Tyre's are far better than the earlier TVS Tyre's.
Within city limits i'm getting an avg. of 31-33kmpl , but n highways could get about 37-39 Kmpl.
Have a reached a top speed of 144kmph. So far no issues with the vibrations yup there is little bit of vibes after 115-120 kmph , but its definitely not like the RTR 160/180.

Congrats on hitting 8k . From where did you get the red fuel lid cap. Any pointers please.
Also, I find it very easy to lock the rear Remora tyre. Ideally, the braking should be 70:30, but my bike's front end dives a lot. So not getting that confidence on braking part.

I have purchased TVs apache rtr 200 2 weeks ago and now my bike is giving a mileage of 20kmpl only.
I am so worried regarding it. Should I wait till 1st servicing.
                      Pls give me some sugitions.

If you are getting such abysmal mileage then there could be multiple factors contributing to it.
                        1. Change your petrol pump first (try and go with a reputed outlet in your city like Shell ones).
                        2. Check your riding style (if its too aggressive I mean unnecessary acceleration and deceleration and such).
                        3. But I guess the most important thing to check would be the tuning of the bike. Maybe its not tuned well. Is this your first bike too? The problem is most SVC mechs might not be good enough to get a nice tune so try and go for the best one in your city. I am not sure how easy its to check the spark plug tip coloring on this bike but perhaps even that can be done. More experienced members on the forum could help you out on this.

Buy a car wash Liquid from Amway, dont use any hair shampoo, Ofcourse clean water and clean cloth would do.

If you are ffrom Bangalore i suggest you try the 3M bike care for washing and just get the mechanical job done @ showroom, coz washing @ showrrom is not that great and if you are having the metallic paint then try the detailing wash from 3M its definitely a VFM.

You are right... if the mileage is that low then check on the tyre pressure too..
checking for the spark plug on this bike is not that easy to remove if you are doing it for the first time.(its a little tricky to remove it).
As mentioned in the previous suggestion kindly check on you riding style accelerating too much on 1st and 2nd gear can consume more fuel.
