I think they didn't had the synthetic oil so they have used mineral oil with the engine oil supplement as an alternate. I am afraid this is not the proper way to deal with the new bike as it is in the runnin-in process. For an older bike this might work but not for new bike. If your bike is feeling the stress then i think you should change the engine oil to a proper synthetic oil from TVS. if they dont have then approach some other SVC and get it done. And from next time change the SVC at once as these people will ruin the bike.
And get it changed in front of you if you can, to check if they are changing it with a proper oil.
I am planning to get this oil replaced after 200 kms, i.e. around 1000 km mark on the ODO, and definitely will get the SVC changed.

[Nitish]: Planning to change to the TVS Synthetic oil after 200 more kms, i.e. 1000 kms on the ODO. Cannot take much risk with new bike

    2. You have been charged 90 bucks for just the greasing, whereas they must have done with aerosol chain lube spray. Greasing an open chain attracts more dirt and makes the chain dry lot quicker, which would eventually begin to emanate too much noise while riding. May be can go to SVC and demand them to spray the chain with aerosol lube for the amount they have charged you on the 1st service.
[Nitish] : Totally agreed. I believe grease is not good for O-ring chains. I have got Motul Chain Cleaner and Lube. Will clean and lube the chain. Can't rely on Grease Monkeys anymore.

    3. That must be the engine oil additive, used to compensate for not using a synthetic oil. This is nothing to worry about though.
    [Nitish]: Okay..

Bike feeling draggy is most likely due to a more tight chain and not because of a mineral oil poured, just to clear the confusion about the oil causing this or not. Since mineral oil is used, I would recommend you to replace this oil at the next 2K kms from the previous service and not wait till next service.
[Nitish]: Chain has 1.5-2 inch of play, cross checked this morning only.

Exhaust sounding bassier is due to new engine oil and break-in in progress, common on all louder sounding bikes like RTRs.
[Nitish]: Actually "Baby ko bass pasand hai ".

    Hope this helps.

    Cheers

As far as I remember the first service is at 500-750 kms(any thing in this range is fine) or 1st month (which ever comes first).

Also some unsolicited advice to people complaining that the bike seems bad after the service. While I am currently fine with the bike (with respect to build quality and such) the one thing I notice (just stating my opinion its not a fact) is that service centers in India (for all manufactures) are generally not that good at their jobs. What I personally do is never leave the bike for service always get it serviced in front of me and make sure to give them explicit instructions on what has to be done with the bike (for example insist on them using the engine oil from an unopened bottle after showing it to me and always change the oil filter in front of me and since mine is a matter colored bike dont use the crap polish they have). If you give such explicit instructions at the start and let them know that you are going to be observing them during the service any reasonably smart SA will understand that this customer cannot be screwed with. If they dont agree to your request (...helps to be polite) then walk away and get in touch with a better service center.

TLDR is that if you need your bike perfectly functional and your moneys worth for the service then you should be willing to put in the work and effort. If not then chuck the warranty (in the case of a new bike) and get it serviced from a neighborhood garage where the guys are passionate about bikes.

Has anyone started facing this issue? The roller on my chain has started to rust. Bike was purchased only two months back and I myself lubed the chain once after covering some 800 kms or so since the first service. I noticed this rusting after having left the bike for an hour in rain and some 20 kms riding in heavy rain. This is the first time the bike is ever ridden in rain and this has already happened. Also the paint coating on the welded portion of the chassis near the handle has started to chip off and started to rust. And the worst thing of all is TVS warranty doesn't cover both of these issues.

Thank you for your suggestions . I am planning to give it at the Whitefield service center which has 4.3 rating in google . I will try to get the service under my watch but I am very new to bikes so I don't know what he will be doing and I don't know what to suggest him . I am new to Bangalore so I don't know much local service guys as well .

Completed bikes 4th servicing yesterday at 7900kms. Again sorted out the gear problem. Neutral light on even if in 1st gears. Now it is proper. Rest all good, no major problems.
Bike is smooth after the servicing no harshess.
Brake pads are not replaced just cleaned and refitted the same as they are still usable.
Just wanted to check if the engine oil price is changing everytime you service the bike in your city. This time i paid 690 for engine oil replacement. It was 680 last time before that 650 and the 1st service it was 580.

Checked the chain slackness again. To my surprise, it had less than 1 inch of play. Will get it fixed at SVC.
Checked the engine oil level in the morning(bike was on main stand for 10 hours). The oil level is little above top marker. Maybe the oil additive has caused the quantity to rise above 1.2 L.
Another woe is that the showroom guys has provided me a toolkit for TVS Wego, stating that RTR has the same toolkit. Can anyone please confirm on this? Also, can someone please share the customer email address of TVS. Thinking to shoot an email to them.

That is not the right way to check engine oil level, the right way is to idle the motorcycle for 10 mins and turn it off and let it sit for for 10 -15 mins and now should you check the oil level which is the correct one. Alternatively, you could refer your owners manual just to be sure.

About the toolkit why don't you post a pic of yours, so that it's easy for other RTR 200 owners to confirm.

                      Cheers

Bro,I asked to dealer in Mysuru he said, they are concentrating on Akula launch and marketing Ideas in India. They are not considering for launch of TVS200 ABS as there is much demand for this bike right now. As per his knowledge TVS200 ABS may come after September.

I think I must consider Dominar or NS.

i was told by mutiple dealers it will be available only after August . So i booked Dominar and i went to collect my bike . It was in the hosur road Bajaj showroom . Didnt do a test drive , but i felt like this bike is only after 11 pm . We cant use this in Bangalore traffic so i cancelled my Dominar booking and booked Apache 200 with pirelli Tyres Matte black.

I am 78 kgs and i felt the dominar is so heavy to handle but not the case with Apache . I am not sure if i will regret my decision later but for now i am good with my Apache
