Apache's over use of graphics on their bikes doesn't make them look good.
Thanks a lot.👍

just wondering how is the problem in Bengaluru affecting your delivery if the manufacturing is in TamilNadu itself and you too are based in Chennai????
I also had the same confusion since as far as I know the manufacturing plant is in Hosur. I approached the dealer and asked the same question and the representative told that "all the Apache and Scooty" are manufactured in Mysore. I was unaware that they had a manufacturing plant in Mysore too. Also I am not sure if it is only Apache 200 or complete Apache series are manufactured there. Guys, do you have any idea if this information is true?

Well when I asked the salesman from Kubera Motors assigned to me he told me that new stocks of the bike are not coming in now since the bike is manufactured in Hosur and no delivery is being made. I will try and ask more about this.

Hold your horses. I know you're itching to redline it, but don't. Take it slow. 1k kms are a benchmark but run-in is not such a short process. The more careful you are in the beginning, bigger the benefits you reap later.

Sure just try to be little kind on rtr 200 by just increasing the rpm week by week.

Just dont go full rpm on each gear(do not hit the rev limiter on each gear)
after 1000kms get completed then u can have ur full rev hungry revenge

Took a test ride today shri sai TVS (Vashi). Thanx tanishq for suggesting apache RTR200.
The power delivery is superb. Accleration is mind blowing.
Went next to take a test ride of gixxer sf, ended up riding gixxer as they wont give sf for a test ride. Got a huge disappointment of a bike for test.
Gave a soft worded rant about why they should provide a decent bike for test ride.
Got another brand new bike for test ride, dont think that was a demo bike i feel bad for the future buyer of that bike.
But after riding apache it just wont cut it.

BTW
my question is
1] I asked if and when ABS 200 comes would i be able to fit my bike with ABS, they said YES thrice.
i have a doubt about that, if any one has a clear idea about how ABS is fitted and would it be possible to it later please clarify.
2] They told as i dont have local address proof i will have to pay 2500 more (suzuki people told 5K more) for registration.
please clarify if anyone knows anything about this.
3] TVS guys told me that rtr200 has 1 month waiting and if i want it early i will have to pay 5k extra after which they will get it in 8-10 days.
this sounds fishy to me.

Actually i wanted to test ride pulsar AS200 but the showroom guys told its not available right now and took my contact details to call when it is available.
After bajaj having discontinued as200 is it possible that they will be relaunching it with Fuel Injection with NS200 FI.
since it doesnt make any sense to discontinue after only a year and half since its launch...?

Which color bike it was at shree sai?

I was given white colour one. Yes even I was told that the ABS can be retrofitted, but i have doubts as they themselves has no such confirmation from TVS.

Gixxer against RTR won't cut at all.

Anyways do take the test ride of AS200 then decide.. Please check with bajaj malad dealer.. He did mentioned that it's available with him.

If you have Mumbai address then the octroi of around 5 k will have to be paid.

Don't pay extra money. They have sufficient stock. Talk to them once. Else check with abhishek tvs sakinaka.

Regarding the as200 availability... I heard that it will be available around festiv season & bajaj aslo delayed the launching of pulsar vs400 only due to ramping up the production of available models... Though m not sure.. if u can wait for that much time... Maybe u can get the chance to test ride AS200. 😊

I too rode the white one, the lovely sales girl just handed me keys and said go for it.
I was almost tempeted to just run away with it.
BTW she wasnt saying about octroi, it had something to do with me not having any mumbai address proof.
If i buy outside mumbai wouldn't it save me 5k of octroi then..?
I will contact the malad bajaj about test ride hope I get it this sunday.
After riding apache only once I don't think pulsar will cut it by any chance.

1. the cost of retrofitting the abs is too high, it technically can be done but it might not be worth the money and effort. plus the job wont be done by tvs, u will have to get it done outside, thus invalidating your warranty.
2. about the paying extra, which address are you going to give? in case none, then basically it will be a bribe to get a local number. the difference in figures (2.5k vs 5k) is the difference in greed levels for the agents.
3. yet another form of greed by the sales agent.

I have only address proof of my home town which is in Maharashtra itself.

Yes that will be best, if you can buy it at your home town. Yes, if you are buying at vashi and registering in vashi or Panvel then the cost will be approx 5 k less than the Mumbai registered vehicle as Mumbai needs octroi to be paid.
