They are just postponing the date of release ,some online articles said that ABS version is going to roll out this month, but i could clearly see there are no signs.
I have waited for 4-5 Months. I guess you may need to wait until December next year Jan ( Don't Know ). Even that too normal version is taking around 2 months to get delivered so i still need to wait for few more days. Ultimately it's your decision.

I will go to White ,which ever is available( Matt or Glossy). will update you later by the EOD.

      Update:
      Booked Matt White.

Not sure about vin but check the fork, golden part, if KYB written new batch.
Intial batches did not come with KYB written fork.
June bike did not have KYB written, later did .

Yes man, let's meet. DM me your number. I'm a little unsure about the feel of my rear brakes, would love to just compare both the bikes and see. Also the engine sound is a bit fishy for me, coming from a RE, I haven't ridden anything else in a long time.

Thanks man. That is one way to check though I would still prefer going by the VIN. Let me check and if I get something I will post it here.

The pre sale staff are a bunch of smooth talkers, and the post sales service staff are either severely incompetent, or overburdened with work. In either case, your bike will take the beating. These guys are good for nothing but basic service of your vehicle. All you can expect from them is a wash, oil change and chain oiling. Sometimes they don't even do all of these. And once your bike is old enough - 3 years in the case of my old RTR180 ABS, they'll start replacing parts stating that its worn out. Once, they replaced my steering cone set three times in a row, and the bloody problem still didn't get fixed. The person named Keerti - he's one of the good chaps. But he doesn't service the bikes anymore. He's service manager or something and he sucks at that job for sure. IMO, He was better off servicing vehicles. I'm sorry if this is turning into a rant, but I can't begin to explain how much I detest the idiots at Prakruthi TVS. They ruined my bike and broke my trust in TVS. If TVS doesn't get it's shit together and fix it's in house servicing, no amount of "mergers" with any company will help it. Their products are great off the shelf, but they don't last, courtesy the bad servicing.
I completely agree with you. I also faced similar experience recently while servicing my Star City+ from Ramkay TVS (Medavakkam, Chennai). My bike is just 1 year old and there was not much noticeable problem with it. Engine was butter smooth until after 4th service the engine started to make a little grunting noise at idling. The noise will persist for some time and after riding few Kms the sound used to vanish. At 5th service I asked the service personnel to fix that but after the service the noise was still there and they said its normal. In the next service also the same story, they kept my bike for two days but was not able to resolve that issue. After few days when I got a call for the feedback i gave a low rating and mentioned the issue. Within 2 days I got a call from the service center and they asked me to give the vehicle again for one day and they will resolve the engine sound issue. I did, and they kept the vehicle for 6 days, reason was they had to change the crank shaft assembly and that part was not available with them, they even didn't have engine gasket with them and for that another 2 days late. Since it was very difficult for me to commute to office, I used to call them regularly and they used to answer that its engine repair so they need some time and they will give my bike with the issue resolved. Finally when I received my vehicle, guess what? The grunting sound still persisted, but now its more louder. Also there were scratches on my handle bar and visor. I was very disappointed and angry but I needed my vehicle and didn't want to fight with them so paid for the gasket and the oil seal and took the vehicle. Believe me guys, I completely lost faith in these service centers. I too agree TVS products are excellent but they are spoiled by these service personnel, who just know to perform only basic servicing like oil change and chain cleaning. TVS should look into these matters seriously and should improve the quality of service provided by the service centers.

Coming to Apache 200 I liked this bike as soon as I test rode it. The engine feels very very smooth. Actually after the disappointment with the TVS service I was planning to purchase something from other manufacturer. I shortlisted Mojo, RS200 and CBR250. Did test ride on Mojo and RS200, could not test ride CBR250 since it was not available also the waiting period is more than 6 months in Chennai. I liked Mojo and was about to book it but one day just out of curiosity did a test ride of Apache 200 and I was just blown away by the ride quality, engine smoothness and comfort. So finally took a leap of faith on TVS again and booked the Matt Red one before 2 weeks from Ramkay TVS (Adyar, Chennai). Waiting period was 15 days but still waiting since there is a disruption of transportation due to recent issues in Bangalore . So, waiting eagerly to get my hands on my new bike.

Called up the showroom and asked if I could pay in cash and take the bike home till the time the loan gets processed and get the cash back when the loan is approved, which will take about a week. To my surprise, they agreed and the bike is parked in my garage right now!

Rode it from Saki Naka to Bandra and it was too difficult to control the urge to twist the throttle. The bike is refined to another level. Noticed ticking sound from the engine when I got back and I'm guessing it's because it must've heated up with a ride of about an hour.

Will post some good images of the bike tomorrow but for just a picture of me on the bike.
whats the point... till u dont have your number plate, you cant ride your bike...
yeah the ticking noise is the engine cooling down. dont worry about it.
i had the RTR160, and i did not like the bikini fairing of the 200v, it seems to look as if TVS forgot about it and at the last minute realised something was missing. but i must admit, your all black 200v does look better than the other colours...

all the best with this second stint with TVS...

just wondering how is the problem in Bengaluru affecting your delivery if the manufacturing is in TamilNadu itself and you too are based in Chennai????

in mumbai definitely not. only dealer's drivers are allowed to ferry vehicles from their warehouses to the showrooms, and that too only 4 wheelers.

regarding b'lore, i have no idea, but it somehow doesn't make sense to allow riding on temp number plates... maybe it is just that the police doesnt bother with them?

Gloss red and metallic gray should have been included. Also the apache branding on the tank should have 3D type like the pulsar. If I had to choose a colour, I would definitely choose the white.
I want the bike to be looking new for a long time. The paint that stays as it is for a long time.

Not sure about the law but they do let up go.

I get your point. For the new bikes, we have to wait and see how will the paint survive. Some old model (8 to 10 years) bikes (single colour) still look in excellent condition because of the quality standards used at that time. Perfect example; Old Pulsar 150's. Apache's over use of graphics on their bikes doesn't make them look good.

The thing is, we have the mount Mary fair going on here, it happens at a huge scale and a lot of people visit. Transport in and out is a big problem. Riding a bike is convenient. Also, there are ways for me to avoid cops and take small lanes and get myself to office and around the local area if I need something.

I was never a fan of naked bikes but somehow this one has impressed me. Everyone who's seen the bike is amazed at how good it looks. I'm glad I went for the all black, it makes it look much more beefier in my opinion.

Couldn't post any pictures today as it was raining the whole day, but I'll surely post very soon.
