Besides I could not check the mileage as I most of the Time use it in heavy traffic everyday and fuel it once in 3 weeks for 500 bucks and I got an average of 33 and above may be all thanks to everyday bumper to bumper traffic. I will check it in more leisurely once and get the exact figure.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
1.Yesterday while visiting rishubh TVS Dealer i found that new apache's are coming with reduced size front number plate,so that the DRL's not get covered under the number plate
so i am planning to get it changed as still i not got the number,
&
2.After returning to home parked the bike on central stand & a friend started the bike while it was parked ,so i saw that speedo meter was showing certain amount of speed while my front tyre was not rotating & rear was rotating(as my bike was in gear)
might be the sensor is faulty or dont know what can be the reason,

1. Can you send a picture of new number plates?Originally posted by Tirth shukla View Post1.Yesterday while visiting rishubh TVS Dealer i found that new apache's are coming with reduced size front number plate,so that the DRL's not get covered under the number plate

2. The speed sensor is not attached to front wheel as is with other bikes. It's connected to gear (not sure though). But I'm sure that it's not connected to front wheel. I asked at ASC, even they told me the same. So don't worry, there are no issues with the speedo.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I just visited two TVS showrooms here in Kolkata for enquiries. Boy the motorcycle look great! Exceptional quality of fit and finish no doubt from TVS. Hearing a lot of good things about the 200v already. However, the only variant available here in Kolkata is the carb + remora tyres one. Asked the showroom guys for any updates or estimates on the FI/ABS/Pirelli variants but they were completely clueless. 😕😕
Was quoted an OTR of 1.14L for the base version.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Today did a top speed of 122kmph. I never got to know that i achieved that speed as i was riding normal and even at that speed bike was more relaxed and less stressed as compared to last time. It still had more juice to go further but i had to slow down due to traffic. When last time i had achieved 121kmph the bike was more stressed and also behaved differently after that for about 5 minutes like misfiring. This time nothing like that. So that looks like it takes about 2000kms to open up completely. I had done 121kmph @ about 1200-1300kms and today its 2200+ kms. Its more relaxed now and fun to ride. Mid range is just fun to ride in city. By next weekend should be going for 2 service.
Do i need to remind the SVC anything specifically for this service? The only problem that i am going the tell them is the Gear from 1-N-2 and vice versa and also the false neutral indicator display. I will tell them to clean the sensor and reinstall the same.

Well it was minor modification, the rear reflector was changed I don't know why they did it......they also checked the wiring of the headlight and shortened the zip ties holding the wires again don't know the reason why they did it...He also inquired about the performance, handling and ride quality of the bike....Originally posted by CosmicSpeed View PostHey buddy, could you please update here what modification/update was done yesterday to your bike .

For those who are waiting ABS and FI when I asked him when the FI and ABS will hit the road he saidOriginally posted by bhadoriabtp View Postplease tell something about RTR WITH ABS AND FUEL INJECTED MODEL. is it coming to showrooms before depawali.
"They are still testing ABS, FI variants are being exported to Indonesia and some other countries. FI will possibly be launched in the first quarter of 2017 and then in second or third quarter Carb + ABS and then after that FI +ABS "
And also he confirmed that ABS can be fitted on non ABS bikes later on.....Last edited by imanishjoshi; 09-24-2016, 09:54 PM.

Did you get the chance to check the job card. It might have info if anything was added or replaced.
In my case long back they changed TCI unit and it was mentioned on job card but they were telling it just TVS sponsored checkup [emoji6] .
I saw the job card, enquired about it and then they opened up that this part is being upgraded for initial batches.
New RTRs are coming with upgraded TCI (do not worry)but SVC guy here told that tyre hugger may change as people are complaining about mud spray on pillion and pillion seat.

There was nothing mentioned on the job card. About the rear tyre hugger, yhea, i have heard complain about the mud spray, but so far i have not encounter any such problem, may be this problem is with some specific batches.Originally posted by CosmicSpeed View PostThanks.
