Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Is this really an ownership thread?? Because all I could find is,
1) Delivery date
2) ABS Available or not
3) TVS complaints
I had different definition of ownership threads, may be new members changed the definition as per convenience now.Fare thee well xBhp, All the best for being the biggest name in corporate world

That should change once TVS actually starts delivering bikes.Originally posted by prateek2210 View PostIs this really an ownership thread?? Because all I could find is,

So either this thread which is "Ownership" in heading should be closed or renamed "Curse TVS" or "TVS Questionnaire" threadOriginally posted by Divya Sharan View PostThat should change once TVS actually starts delivering bikes.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Well while I can understand that it is unseemly to have multiple complaints against TVS in the ownership thread (many from my end) I don't think it's the first time it's happened.
Other alternatives I am personally considering are RS200, R15S and Suzuki gixxer Sf (I know these are bikes for different purposes) . Atleast in the Gixxer and RS200 thread there are multiple complaints regarding the waiting period. But those seemed to be in the tune of 2 months or so. Here TVS is asking for 4 months despite launching the product at the start of the year.
Here in Bangalore multiple showrooms have stopped taking bookings (Tristar TVS guy actually started talking about fi launch date in March 2017 when I asked him about why he had stopped taking bookings for carb version) or are telling customers upfront about the extended waiting period.
As far as I know when people talk about ownership experiences I generally see them talking about purchase experience too from the dealership. I personally don't see anything wrong the way this thread is headed keeping in mind the way TVS is allocating stocks in India. The thread will clean itself up when TVS starts delivering bikes (like Divya sir mentioned). But if the mods want they can go ahead and clean up the thread.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I'm going to post my ownership experience of the bike very soon. Just returned from a long ride of about 250kms and have clocked almost 1000kms on the odo.
I hope that will help the others decide whether to wait for RTR 200 or buy another bike.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
I use Zorrik 88, a product quite similar to WD-40 to clean the chain along with a chain cleaning brush, then I lube it with TVS Chain Spray. Don't even think about using 3M, it's very thin and doesn't stay long, Motul is good but availability and price are concerns, TVS lube is almost as good as Motul and easily available.Originally posted by Tirth shukla View PostDoes anyone uses the chain cleaner and lube as now i m looking for it.
Which product is good motul or 3m or tvs?As I lay rubber down the street, I pray for traction I can keep
But if I spin and begin to slide, please dear God, protect my sweet ride

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Loved all the aspects till now..only issue I'm getting is with the instrument console..sometimes i can't switch to odo meter, trip, laptime, top speed.sometimes it works fine but most of the time i can select to those using the M button.it only stucks to the tripf meter.
Is there any one having this type of issues?

Were you trying to switch the modes when moving?? The console is designed such that the buttons stop operating when bike moves above 10kmph.Originally posted by rajurtr200 View PostLoved all the aspects till now..only issue I'm getting is with the instrument console..sometimes i can't switch to odo meter, trip, laptime, top speed.sometimes it works fine but most of the time i can select to those using the M button.it only stucks to the tripf meter.
