Updated my bike with a new auxillary lamps, a single bar led lamp. Lighting output is awesome and very good throw. I don't use low beam headlight now a days. Use headlamp only for high beam. And the led bar is battery saving as it uses only 18w instead of the headlamp bulb of 55w. Got it online in Amazon India for rs.500/-

Do not use high beam in city, it blinds the person coming from opposite direction. High beam is a feature to be use where there is no proper street lighting and the road isn't visible.

These lights I am using as only low beam. High beam is used only on highway where there is no street lights. In city street lights are more then enough with low beam on.

Tomorrow will be giving the bike for first service, any pointers? Will the RPM setting will be changed?

ensure they do an oil change/ filter change (this most probably they will do, they understand the importance of 1st change)

but they might not clean air filter. to ensure they do, either stand there while they service your bike, or put a small mark on the opening panel which will shift only if they open it.

why would they change RPM setting. they might adjust it if it has shifted from company mandated setting. thats all.

now its too late, but ensure u always give a tank that's on reserve. these guys have a tendency to take out a litre or 2 of petrol from bikes that have plenty of petrol, or using those bikes as ferry bikes...
apart from that, nothing much. refer to the owners manual for more info...

Would suggest you to be present during the entire procedure. The RPM setting won't be changed but it's something you yourself can change , so no stress on that.

I had some mechanic over rev my bike and take it to 136kmph on the speedo while keeping it on the main stand. Make sure they don't do that otherwise it'll pinch you too much after managing the run in period.

June bike did not have KYB written, later did .
OK seeing the new pics of bikes from recent owners (congrats to all of them) I don't see the kyb sticker. Can any of the new owners confirm if the bike has kyb stickers on the front forks.

I need to make sure that they don't pass of an old stock bike to me. The best way would be to decode the vin but no one seems to know the format. I am thinking of calling customer care for this. Will update here if I manage to get any info (not hopeful since the customer service guys to date seem bad).

                      .
Its not sticker but engraved text on forks. Check the recent images uploaded here, something written on golden forks where it starts , though not much clear.

If you check initial pics ,they don't have any text engraved on forks.

Another thing, seeing the demand of bike, I really doubt that you would get old bike. Guys have bought display bikes. So any bike what they have must be of new lot IMO.

                      Cheers!

If the headlight is on Battery(DC) then you can easily install it in RTR 160. No problem if you keep it on for long time as it is 18W as against your Headlight of 35W.
                        So no problem

Is the light legal. I can see it has a white spread which is not allowed under most of the RTOs. I had a tough time with the HID installed on my zma.

Apart from that, did u alter any wirings for installation?

Hey guys, the exhaust pipe on my RTR 200 looks rusted and burnt. Bike is not even 1 months old. Is this normal ???

As per my knowledge any auxiliary light below or in line with original headlight height of the vehicle is permissible anything above is not and it also depends on the glare that it creates on the other side to attract attention of cops
