In the initial posts of this thread somebody posted the pics stating that the exhaust has started rusting.Originally posted by Monish BakreWht u mean by exhaust rusting it has stainless steel exhaust pipe
Newer owners have you found such rusting problems on your rtr 200 ?
Also some of the guys gave the solution of Spraying the exhaust with Antirust paint/coating.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Use same grade as tvs suggest bt using other brand engine oil can void yr warranty saddest thing tht i hate abt tvs🤕🤕bt if u go with motul try 7100 ester 10w30 or 10w40 its awesomeOriginally posted by Nitish Singla View PostHas anyone used other than stock tvs engine oil? Having used Motul 5100 semi synthetic in my old pulsar 150 ug4, I am planning to use this oil in Rtr too. Motul 5100 is heavy 15w50 oil and should survive the scorching summer heat.Any suggestions/advice on this?

I am able to use one of those generic chinese mobile holder + chargers (got it from JC Road for Rs650). Its supposed to have 2A charger and the thing seems to work fine for me. Charges at a decent pace and holds the mobile without a wobble even in Bangalore non existent roads.Originally posted by Monish Bakre View PostAnyone installed mobile charger in rtr200...i asked nearest tvs service centre they told me tht they hv part no bt mrp is zero so they cant order it

Looks just like this one
AUTOTRUMP Motorcycle Bike Handlebar Rail Mount USB Charger and Universal X-Grip Cell Phone Holder for Royal Enfield Classic 350: Amazon.in: Car & Motorbike.
I am using with the mount that can be affixed to the rear mirror stalk.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Go for it, it's a very good oil. If rtr200s recommended oil grade is 10w30 then try to use the same. 5100 is available in both 10w30 and 15w50 grades. No need to use high viscose oil because it is summer. 10w30 will serve you well even in summer heat.Originally posted by Nitish Singla View PostHas anyone used other than stock tvs engine oil? Note, warranty would not be void if you use oil from other brands. SVC just try to scare you. As long as correct grade is used warranty stays intact.

I am not aware that 5100 is available in 10W30 too. Let me try to find this in local stores. Thanks [emoji1]
Regarding the viscosity and xWy rating, perhaps I need to visit the thread on Xphp related to oil grades.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
It is available, but most sellers stock only 15W50. I personally think bikes with xW40 or above could use 15w50 grade. For a bike with xW30 grade recommendation, xW50 would be too thicker and might result in loss of initial and FE.Originally posted by Nitish Singla View PostHi Srvn,

Right, regarding oil viscosity it's a topic deep as an ocean, as people tend to get confused very easily albeit it isn't too confusing. Xbhp best place to learn about it.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Well in the case of a mobile charger there is no splicing of wires involved. Infact all you do is run two leads to the battery. KTMs even come with an accessory power line. I dont think it should void the warranty. I have had the second service done with the charger and the SVC guys didnt mind at all.Originally posted by Monish Bakre View PostIt will affect on warranty??
