Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Beast has that false neutral problem. Not to worry on that it will get very low after 2nd servicing. My odo at 4.5k, waiting for 3rd servicing..😀Originally posted by ALI.R View Post325kms done - of which 140 were on a national highway, where I kept modulating the RPMs between 3500-5000.
70kmph is achievable at 5k RPM and that made the highway chai run a bit more bearable. However, on one instance clocked 92 during an overtaking manoeuvre. Coming from a 150cc, it's an absolute joy to have enough power on the tap to get away from those sinister state buses and Sumos.
- the engine was smooth to start with and is getting better all the time
- the 'check fuel sensor' blinker on the console has completely vanished over the last 200kms
- the handling /turn-ins on the RTR are ridiculously easy and razor sharp. Easy to get cocky and horses need to be held! .😂
-the chain is a bit on the noisy side, especially on flyover ascents I noted. Shall douse it with the Motul lubricant I have and check for improvement
-braking is gradually getting sharper much to my relief!
- the only real irritant right now is the gear positioning indicator occasionally playing truant and displaying neutral even when the 2nd gear was engaged. This has led to a few jerky stalls at signal crossings. This will need to be fixed during the first service
The motorcycle is a total eye candy and queries come forth all the time! First service by next weekend and hopefully the remainder of the run in shall pass without any hiccups. Gotta get it ready by mid May as Bhutan calls!!🙌🙌🙌
Now I rarely get that false neutral problem, maybe once in month..😊Once there was a man and a Bike....
They have seen once only.....

Lol!!.. one man's opinion will not gonna change the buyers decision.... Those ppl who have ridden thr rtr200 they know wat this bike is capeble of... That guy is saying that its not performance bike... So i guess according to him duke200 (17) edition is a performance bike... Which has the top speed of 132kmph.. Despite being 25bhp.. or the ns200 (17) which is touching 140kmph (24bhp) with lots of effort..well than.. i have to say my rtr200 is far more vfm.. almost all the 200cc bikes are now hovering around 130 to 135kmph.. acceleration deference are there but they are minimal.. unless if someone consider himself as 200cc dragster 😉.. it will not matter that much.. the 200cc cegment is now come to a personal choice...Originally posted by IamAditya View Post
And for the info.. m 6ft... 86kgs.. i topout around 140kmph.. that to on a straight road.. not on the downhill 😂😂.....well it looks like 20bhp bike is now giving tough competition to ones with 25bhps... 😎Last edited by tanishq; 03-24-2017, 07:39 PM.

Exactly. I'd buy the RTR 200 over the D200, Ns200 as well as the Fz25 every single time.Originally posted by tanishq View PostLol!!.. one man's opinion will not gonna change the buyers decision.... Yes quite vfm, and perfect for city use.Originally posted by ALI.R View PostExactly. I'd buy the RTR 200 over the D200, Ns200 as well as the Fz25 every single time.
But lacks performance.
Especially beyond 100 compared to other 200cc bikes.
And takes a lot of time to reach the top end .
