. You have removed the Tyre hugger, does the rear fender flap still availble in the svc, which came with the intial version of Apache 200.

I am not too sure of that. Considering how long the tail section is, the fender flap seems an overkill and guess that is the reason TVS are no longer providing them with the recent deliveries.

I took off the tyre hugger (why hide a good looking Pirelli ) and the saree guard (of course!!). The hugger I'll reinstall once the monsoons commence.

325kms done - of which 140 were on a national highway, where I kept modulating the RPMs between 3500-5000.

70kmph is achievable at 5k RPM and that made the highway chai run a bit more bearable. However, on one instance clocked 92 during an overtaking manoeuvre. Coming from a 150cc, it's an absolute joy to have enough power on the tap to get away from those sinister state buses and Sumos.

            - the engine was smooth to start with and is getting better all the time

            - the 'check fuel sensor' blinker on the console has completely vanished over the last 200kms

            - the handling /turn-ins on the RTR are ridiculously easy and razor sharp. Easy to get cocky and horses need to be held! .😂

-the chain is a bit on the noisy side, especially on flyover ascents I noted. Shall douse it with the Motul lubricant I have and check for improvement

-braking is gradually getting sharper much to my relief!

            - the only real irritant right now is the gear positioning indicator occasionally playing truant and displaying neutral even when the 2nd gear was engaged. This has led to a few jerky stalls at signal crossings. This will need to be fixed during the first service

The motorcycle is a total eye candy and queries come forth all the time! First service by next weekend and hopefully the remainder of the run in shall pass without any hiccups. Gotta get it ready by mid May as Bhutan calls!!🙌🙌🙌

Yes the only problem that I also have faced is the gear indicator showing neutral in 1st gear. It had the problem for 2nd gear also but that is gone. And this problem is recurring as in my 4 servicing I have always complained to them the same thing. But there is no permanent solution for the same.

You can purchase the tyre hugger and fender flap from the service center. One issue is most of the service center will not understand them by the name, also they even do not know that something called tyre hugger and fender flap exists.

                Please mention the part number:
                1. Wheel Hugger - N9092710
                2. Rear Fender Flap - N9226880

Both are around Rs. 140. If they are not available immediately, book the item and they will arrange it within 7-10 working days.

**The current Wheel hugger is coming with embossed "RTR" on it and it looks cool.

Well, I hope they manage to finally solve the issue. Else, will just have to live with it as it's nothing major.

Guys, I test rode an used bike as I'm in the market now for a 200-250 used motorcycle. The console was acting weird about the neutral and gear shifts. It was showing 'N' for a few seconds even though the bike was in gear and not in neutral. Can that be rectified without much hassle?

The bike as a whole is superb. Almost Honda level refinement and definitely better than NS200 for city. The initial acceleration is the best in 200cc segment.

I have a similar issue and it's the only concern on a fantastic motorbike. Long term RTR 200 owners have indicated that it can be rectified during servicing. However, in few instances, it seems to reoccur.

Hopefully, TVS will find a permanent fix soon.

TVS is selling the same for RTR 200. Will suggest to go for an original rather than aftermarket.

What mileage can I get in the city like Mumbai? And on highway? Not a agressive driver fyi.

Mileage in Mumbai will be around 35-37 and on highway it will go to about 40kmpl. Normal mixed riding.
