More over the high speed stability, gear shift quality and braking is better in ns. RTR has better engine refinement and nimble handling which suits better in city. I had the very first ns and now I’m having Rtr200. I rode both the bikes to it’s extreme. So if you are very much concerned about refinement, build quality and handling go for apache and it won’t disappoint you much. But for your above mentioned requirements I suggest you NS it’s an outright performer.
Thanks so much, your cleared some of my doubts.
Please clear one more thing as I will be keeping this bike for long time will NS200 last long.

Ns is a reliable motorcycle and it’ll last long. It’s engine is based on ktm. My ns did 40k kms when it was sold. And it’s still good in performance and fuel economy. The problem I faced is just with the plastic panels. It was not as good as rtr in fit and finish. It gives rattling noises after few thousand kms which has to be rectified with time and usage. As I told earlier mine is the very first edition. But the present bs4 models are said to be more refined in engine and fit and finish also. You better check the review of bs4 ns. Happy riding [emoji106]

Ride experience before first service of 763kms,

More than 500kms in Chennai traffic and rest on highways.
Bike build quality is amazing, not rattle sounds, no panel squeezes or so on, the machine looks and feels like rock, my daughter's words [emoji3].
Ride and handling, the gears are so short that it begs you to shift up too quickly, the suspension are on the stiffer side and handling oh boy, I know that shouldn't ride like a mad roadside Romeo in heavy traffic but riding from medavakkam to mount road have left me with no choice to zipp through the traffic and the machine does amazing in that, perfect city bike with power on throttle to put back the traffic, absolutely satisfied.
Engine is super cool, no heating in heavy traffic conditions and refined, the only problem is to use choke to start it after a long halt. The power and torque is adequate in city ride conditions. Gear changes are not very precise, sometimes felt clunky despite the inclusion of slipper clutch.
Braking is good, l mostly use both the brakes and it does the job well, your calculation of stopping distance won't be compromised.
Mileage was around 38kmpl, hope it increases after the service.
Done my service at Logesh TVS, medavakkam. The service was very quick, changed oil, oil filter, lubed the chain, water wash. Everything was done up to the mark. Upon request they delivered in one and half hour. After servicing felt the engine didn't struggle in higher rpms or didn't shutter much in riding at lower speeds at higher gears.

I have filled up synthetic oil. Guys kindly suggest which oil to be used in upcoming services for better performance and durability.

Motul 300v factory line 5w30 Ester core. It’s expensive for about 1000₹/L but last long and you can feel improved acceleration and top end performance. And also it can withstand prolonged high speed riding.

I am from chennai, i use to service my bike @ prabha tvs, since the dealership is no more, and i have replaced my SVC to dhiraa tvs, i am not happy with the service. I am fed up with ramkay TVS, as i had worst experience when i was owning rtr 160. Now tell me how good is the service @ logesh tvs.

I bought my bike at Kallakurichi. As my 1st service was due and the closest service center from where I live was Logesh TVS, I gave them a call a day before saying that I need to service my bike and I would need the bike serviced in short time, they replied they do 24*7 service and have a express service option. I took the bike around 8 20 in the morning, one service advisor was there, he was first hesitant to do the express service saying still the staff haven't arrived and I may need to take the bike in the evening. I requested him that because of my working hours it will be difficult to come late in the night to take the delivery, one staff showed up and he asked him if he can do the service immediately. The service guy said OK and I was asked to sit in the customer lounge, which was good from where you can see what's happening with your bike. I got my bike back by 9 40, not bad at all.

I have completed 27000 kms on this bike in about 1.8 years. Not much of a touring only 2 short tours of about 200-300kms in a day return. Enjoyed the ride. No problem at all with Vibes or tiredness. I felt tiredness only after completing the ride and i think that was only because i am not a regular tourer. But yes i do everyday ride of 50+ kms to and fro to my office and i truly enjoy riding this bike everyday. Only major work pending is replacing the fork pipes which are leaking and damaged by the service center guys while repairing. They are asking to replace the full fork both sides so i will doing it from outside from my trusted mechanic this saturday. I have already purchased the fork pipe from TVS shop and will replace the same. Other than that nothing major. Awesome bike.....

I did 18000kms in the past 19 months. And for the past 6 months I’m doing around 280kms every weekend and also did few trips from Chennai to trichy and to Kodaikanal. There is nothing to complain about touring except if you’re more than 6 foot tall. The bike can do a pretty good cruising speeds. It sits comfortable within the range of 90-110kmph. But the acceleration tapers down after 120kmph. Ride quality and comfort is good and rider seat is well suited for long rides. I did a 300km ride in less than 4 hours with just one stop and that too for peeing. When compared to other 200cc motorcycles apache 200 has a smooth and refined engine with good ergonomics.

I reached 143 once down a slope. It’ll take time after 125. Can go above 130 very often. But anything beyond 135 it depends upon favourable conditions. You can also Search for YouTube videos which shows the way it reaches the top speed. Click image for larger version
