Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I have been riding the RTR 200 for at most 1.5 years, whether you drive the bike insanely or not, the bike gives a mileage between 33-36 Kmpl. I don't think the FI will improve on mileage a lot, may 1-2 kmpl. Regarding the pillion comfort, the rtr 200 is a let down, even the same for fz25 or with ns200d doesn't have a great pillon support. But RTR is even worse than the NS 200 and the fz25.
My suggestions is, if you can afford the fuel expenses and maintenance of the bike, please go ahead and buy the bike or else skip this and look for a bike that can satisfy you and fit your pocket. People often tend to buy a bike, and could not handle the maintenance expenses and they simply ignore the necessary things like timely oil changes, periodic services, spare part changes.
Originally posted by Johnty View PostGuys I need some help, I have heard a lot of negative comments about apache 200, most of them say that while new this bikes mileage is good, but after a few services the mileage drops to 25-30, also I have heard that the pillion comfort is seriously lacking, is it that bad or these are just BS circulating the internet. Please help as I am from a middle class family and as you can already understand that being from a middle class family i cant spend that much on fuel cost alone. Also, is pulsar ns200 is same or different in case of mileage,
Waiting for you guys reply
Thanks in advance

I am using carb RTR200 for more than 1.5years and done above 16k kms. The bike’s economy range is vast. I did most of my checks in highway. If I ride the vehicle around 6-7k rpm or speeds around 80-90kmph it returns around 42kmpl. If I ride around 4.5-5k rpm it returns 52kmpl and that’s my max economy. But I usually ride around 110 kmph in highways there it returns 30-32kmpl. In city limits I do a bit hard riding where it returns 33kmpl. As far I know it an efficient motorcycle but it depends on how it’s been ridden. Fi may give around 3-5 kms more but in contrary I read a magazine review that the outright performance is better in carb model. Top speed and refinement is better in Fi.Last edited by deepakmadhivanan; 03-12-2018, 07:18 PM.

The shorter wheelbase, softer front suspension and high seating leads to lack of rear wheel traction. This issue is solved in the abs model by having anti-rear wheel lift system. But in my experience the front brake lacks the ultimate stopping power in sudden braking conditions.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I recently saw a video where the guy says that once the RTR 200 ABS variant is available, the SVC guys would be able to provide ABS to the non ABS variants. They have even made provisions on the non-ABS bikes, like, they have made the sensor ports available so as to use them once ABS is launched. Has anyone confirmed this? or its just a hoax?

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
After a considerable wait, I am getting this tomorrow. The website says 2.0 race edition comes with ART slipper clutch and the pictures on website shows a marking of ART on engine cowl but didn't find it on the bike. If anyone is taking delivered of 2.0 please advice.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Here's my first post in xbhp forums !!
I too heard from my dealer here in bangalore that they have already delivered four 2.0 version bikes but without ABS. When inquired about the ABS model, he said that it is still not in production and he doesnt know when he'll be able to deliver if I book the bike now
. He will be able to deliver the Basic model in 4 days. Anyone has any idea about the delivery timelines of the ABS model ?
I was waiting for a long time to book this bike but looks like the wait will continue since i'm only keen on the ABS model and so are my parents ! That's one good thing that parents are also looking only for bikes with ABS since the ABS on our car has been extremely helpful !
