Don't claim insurance for stuff less than 5k if you plan to keep the bike for 3+ years. You will lose ncb which is like 500-1000 bucks loss a year.

Went to my local mechanic. He suggested to visit ASC first and if they charge too high, he will repair it for around 500 rupees. My question being is it advisable to repair the forks? Will it cause any long term issue?

          Hi Guys

The ABS feature is available with Carb variant, as of now. I am from Mumbai and it is available at Hare Krishna, Malad/Goregaon, Mumbai. The Price is 108379 (EX-SHOWROOM) + 12907 (RTO) + 3478 (INSURANCE) = 1024764 (ON ROAD, Accessories extra).

I see that you all are from Delhi so I don't know if the prices are of any use to you...

              Update:
Went to the SVC. They were insisting on repairing the forks, but asked them to replace the forks. Will drop the bike on Wednesday and will get the bike by next Monday. Total costs estimated ₹3600 for both forks, ₹1200 for front mudguard and ₹130 for the brake lever. Claimed insurance, I have to pay around ₹700

I highly doubt that forks cost rs 3600rs. It should be around 5.5k.

I had gone there to book 200 FI variant, for which they quoted a delivery time of 20 days. So for ABS variant, it should be similar...

Considering TVS's reputation Id say getting your bike(ABS variant) within a month will be a rare scenario.

I'll just ask my friends to wait. Hopefully they dont fall into the Pulsar NS200 trap. [emoji14]

It cannot be for Rs.3600 for both. They are taking you for a ride. I myself have bought the fork pipes only for Rs.2750/- one side. That is from the TVS shop in Mumbai and not from the dealer directly. They were trying to make money by telling me that the pipes are not available but they have the fork set which they quoted me for Rs.8500 for both the sides. If you are doing the repair from them then i would suggest 1 thing do some marking on both the forks and after the work is done do check if they have really changed the fork.

Nah ₹3600 for replacement(both sides), and ₹850 for repair. I'm going for a replacement.

Go for replacement but keep a check on forks

Yes, will mark on the shocks, in a place they can't see. When I get the bike will check for the mark.
