Moreover, at the time of buying my RTR, the sales people assured me that ABS can be retrofitted when made available as the console and discs already have the mount points. This needs to checked out soon to see if they were fibbing or not.

Finally, can anyone explain the potential gains of a 6 plate clutch over the 5 plate one we have? And most definitely this should be an upgrade that existing RTRs can accommodate?
As far as I know, more the number of plates higher capacity of transmitting the available torque. Meaning there is less loss of torque in transmission.

More number of plates also mean more area available for friction. Which means more heat generation. Although I dont not assume that the heat will be a problem for RTR's case.
    Correct me if Im wrong.

Also, this does not mean that RTR with 6 plate clutch will have a 6 speed transmission. Just putting it out there for pepple like me. [emoji14]

The reason I persist is because when I had my first accident I felt I could have avoided it with abs. So I started looking to sell my bike and get a used CBR 250r abs version. I dropped plans for that now but my next bike will definitely be with abs (and these guys are giving better tyres and a better clutch so the rewards will be even sweeter). But its up to you after all you have to live with it. Best of luck.
Congratulations. You've successfully convinced me in getting an ABS variant. [emoji119]

Ive held my booking and negotiating the price for an ABS variant. 126k is the on road price. I hope to get it down to 120k. If you are aware of any places in Mumbai I could get that price please let me know.

Lastly, I just want to thank all of you for the help & suggestions you have provided me.

Proud to be a part of this.

      Cheers!

I visited the service centre today. The price for rear mudguard is Rs. 400 + Rs. 30 for the red reflector which was missing.

Its not really 'available'. I was told 3-4 months of waiting period for the ABS variant and even when paying in full cash.

The small plasticky extension that you see above the forks are fork seal/tube protectors. They reduce the amount of dust accumulated on the forks and in turn saves the oil seal from going bust. Excess dust can damage the fork seals and in turn cause a premature leak, so this is provided to prevent that. Some are made of plastic some are fused with the fork slider itself.

You can get custom made steel braided brake lines, if you can find one who does that, which is totally doable. We have the Pulsar 220, the Duke 390, RS 200 all have steel braided lines. It all comes down to the length of the hose. The Dominar's front line seem a little lengthy and should give you a lead to start with. It all comes down to the right measurements. Start off with the measurement of the Apache's and try measuring it with the aformenetioned bikes' lines, should give you the trigger.

                  Cheers!

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                    Hey Guys

Gonna be a proud owner of RTR 200 soon, waiting for delivery. I booked myself a matte white RTR carb versioned, i tried to book a FI+ABS version but none
of the dealers in HYD had ABS and a very few offered to book a FI version. Its been 9yrs since i rode a bike, the wait is killing me. I booked mine on 12th Jan
and i still didnt get my bike yet, apparently models with 2018 MFG date are taking time .

Ill post more if i get any new update.

Fork tube cover is now present in all models of RTR200, I personally saw this and can confirm this.
Windscreen might be an extra accessory since I didn't see on display bikes.

                          Hello everyone !

I have waited a few years to be able to post this .

Finally got my hands on my RTR 200 4V Matte Red. Upgrading from a TVS Victor GL 2002 [so many smiles per hour] . I guess I am a TVS fanboy now.

Last two weeks was spent reading and understanding the nuances of the bike through the ownership experiences of people in this thread.

Want to thank everyone who actively posts here, thou are God sent.

And yes the bike is out of the world !

Are there any after market mirrors for the RTR200? After the side stand, my second grouse is with the mirrors. They are very functional, but look very cheap, move easily, and that rubber thing keeps falling off.

                                Hi guys
Need some help with the prices and tyres for Apache 200 FI. I went to Hare Krishna (Malad) and Matrix Motors (Mira Road) this weekend and both of them have the bike with Remora Tyres. They are saying that TVS has stopped giving Pirelli tyres. Whereas the TVS website shows Pirelli tyres. Also, the ex-showroom prices they are quoting is 1600 higher than what is shown on the TVS website.
(107600 - Showroom quoted price vs 105980 - website quote) The website quoted price is for the Pirelli tyres and the showroom quoted price are for Remora tyres!!!

Need some help with difference in prices and tyres as I wanted Pirelli tyres.
