Any long term RTR200 owner here?

Because I want to know how the bike holds up with few years and few thousand kms under its belt. Is it smooth or has the refinement and gone down?, how is the service cost?

What is you long term verdict?

Hey I have done 23000kms in 1.4 years. The bike is still good and you will enjoy every moment of the bike if you keep it in good condition. Main parts that require extra care are chain and engine. Smoothness is still there but high speed there is a bit of vibration on footpeg but manageable. I have not faced any major problem..... recently had silencer problem but that's solved under warranty....

My RTR200 shows signs of sensor error these days .. After 2nd service, GEAR Sensor Error, as it goes ON & OFF - haven't changed it during 2nd service. 3rd free service done Nov 28. A week back again GEAR Sensor Error came ON & OFF..

Filled up 8 Litres fuel today, while riding to office found unusual error - Check FUEL Sensor.

Does anyone else facing Fuel Sensor Error.

Gear sensor might have gone faulty so get it changed under warranty as that is the major problem this bike is facing.

About the other error -- Fuel Sensor error, just inform the SVC guys when going for servicing. That is not a problem maybe some loose wire. I had that problem in the start but now has gone completely.

Guys After first service I'm facing few problems. The engine have lost it's power, acceleration and pick up are affected. Also the bike is not starting on gears nothing is happening when I'm hitting the ignition button on gear, not even the engine sound. Bike is starting fine without any problems on neutral. Please suggest

I want to know how can i fix a visor to Apache RTR 200 4V. I want the same one which is there on the present FI model which is called "Royal crown fly screen". Where can i get it? Can it be fixed to the Carb model? If yes, how much does it cost? I have seen a few people posted the same query earlier in this thread but i guess no one replied.

Someone has posted about this on YouTube. The part number is N9225810. IMO your best bet would be to check with the ASC and have them order the part.

There is a switch for the clutch, which has gone bad. I had the same issue.

sanz112 Silly thing to ask... but are you pulling your clutch in and then hitting the ignition (while in gear)?

This has been the condition for the last 2 days but now the headlight is not even turning on. However whenever I turn on the headlight and even if it's in dim the bright symbol light on dash lights up. At first I thought it was the problem with the switches but when I checked it with another spare I had from my crash, it still didn't fix the problem. I also wanted to remove my headlights and check but could't figure out how to remove it. Any ideas as to what the problem would be? I just don't want to take it to my service center as their solution to every problem is replacing the whole unit and since ours is a local place and there aren't many rtrs that come in for service, they don't keep stock of any spares and will have to order and that takes forever to arrive.

I am kind of fed up with this motorcycle because it puts me with at least a problem every month. So far my speedometer unit, speed sensor, gear senor and the whole wiring harness have been replaced due to different malfunctions and off course all of them were done under warranty.

                          Any help would be appreciated.
Check the bulb holders and I'd also recommend you to check your wiring harness once again, since you're replaced your wiring loom. Loose contact or improperly fastened bulb/wiring connectors can cause such problems. It's a pain point for sure to go through it all again, but have them inspected and see how they fare. Secondly, and most importantly, a fused filament too can automatically switch to high beams or low beams, so do inspect your bulb. Keep us posted.

                          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                          THE END

VJ to the rescue again! You are right man. How could I be so dumb?!? I was so concerned that problem might be with the fuse or the connectors but ignored the bulb, replaced it now and everything is working perfectly again.
