Does anyone tried KTM handguard and levers on RTR 200.? Does it fits? Please kindly reply... I am about but it from aliexpress. If it doesn't fit, it is wast of time and money. So I am asking your advice...

Well I narrowly escaped a huge disappointment. Went to buy an RTR just this Saturday. But seeing the stock they had, how bikes were kept around and their service center, ended up going for the Fz. Had I been in Bangalore I would have bought an RTR and definitely would have cried seeing this news. But now since I don't really have any good options for TVS near me, not feeling that bad. Though yeah, I will definitely miss the fun and liveliness of an RTR .

Hi guys, so I booked my RTR 200 Carburettor version this Saturday and will get it by this upcoming sunday. So need help guys..as I'm a new rider and have experienced an accident 3 years ago I need few tips on braking under high speed.
Last time I apruptly applied brakes, broke my scafoid bone (one of the eight carpels on the wrist). The funny thing about scafoid bone is that there's only one thin blood vessel which connects it to the vascular system of human body. Hencd it takes damn good amount of time to heal. In my case it tool freaking 8 months. 8 months on being in a plaster was a complete nightmare and to aff to that only lower half of scafoid is connected to that blood vessel and if the bone is broken into two halves it disconnects the upper half of the bone completly to the vascular system and in absence of any blood bringing in nutritions the upper hald of the bone becomes completly dead and cannot be healed thereafter. This is called Avascular necrosis. In my case I was lucky enough that it just cracked from the two opposite ends and was not completely disconnected.
Yeah so I was riding an old Pulsar 180 on wet road at 70-80 Kmph and suddenly a damb dog comes out of nowhere. I suddenly applied brakes hard and completly lost control of the bike and crashed. Lucky I had my helmet on otherwise the impact could have been fatal.
So any tips guys to handle these kinds of situations. BTW I'm new here.

              Be sensible.

Riding 80kmph on a rainy day is an invitation to accident. Thank God it wasnt fatel in your case.

The best way is to anticipate and ride. Be watchful at all times, keep your eyes on the road. Watch your speed and give way to others. Following these is tough, but if you do you can avoid many accidents.

Always remmeber its the travel that is fun than the destination.

Always wear good quality riding gears and avoid pressing the front brakes suddenly in emergency situations. Practice braking on an empty road. See how the Motorcycle reacts and how much brake pressure has to be applied on each brake to come to a halt without skidding.

Well, honestly you people arent missing much. so dont be disappointed. Had they launched ABS now, that would have been really disappointing for people who have bought within a month. FI wont make a huge difference, expect when you are at high altitude.

True, but I do plan on visiting a lot of hillstations so fi would have been great but I guess the carb is easier to adjust for altitude and maintain.

FI version should have got the ABS. But from the news I cannot find the same. Am I missing something?

                          2) The rear wheel is not rotating freely. I put my bike on centre stand. The front wheel was rotating freely but the rear wheel was not rotating freely. It appears as if the brake pads are griping it.
                          3) Rust on chain.
                          4) It's rainy season in Chennai. There are some water drops in 2 side indicators.
I have attached a few images also for chain rusting and water in indicators.
                          Any help/suggestions would be appreciated

Thanks mate yeah riding at high speeds on a rainy day definitely should be avoided. I'm was a hot head at that time and paid my price. Ever since the accident, I have never have ridden a bike above 50-60 Kmph even on a sunny day.

Thank you for your advice. I'll try to practice the progressive staged braking my RTR 200 doesn't have ABS, I guess I've to be extra careful on road. By the way can you suggest me good riding gears. Thanks in advance.

Guys i have got a fork bend on my bike which is just 3 months old and has done 3800 kms, I complained to TVS Service centre and they are looking onto it , they have assured me that they will straighten the bend, But my doubt is will I get the same feel on my bike again?? I am very much worried about this.
