I am looking for changing the bike tyres by next month. Looking for Pirelli just confused between Angel City, Sports Demon and Sports Dragon. For rear Sports Demon and Angel city option and for front all 3 options are open. Which is the best option? PLease dont give any other option to confuse.

Hi Rakowli
I have replaced stock Remoras with Angel CT, both front and rear. I was looking for Sports Demon, but the tyre vendor was getting 2016 stock of the same. Hence had to settle for Angel CT. The tyres are good till now. Am using it for almost 70-80 Kms daily (Ghodbunder Road). I had exchanged my new Rremoras with Angel CT immediately on getting the delivery of the bike. This was done in 2nd week of July when it was raining heavily in Mumbai. I have ridden the bike at speeds upto 75 Kmph, under the run-in conditions. I never felt loss of grip even in wet conditions.

XBHP forums have recommended the following combinations

Zapper FY1/Sports Demon (FRONT)
+
Pilot Street/Masseter/Angel CT (REAR).

I got Angel CT for Rs. 2700 (FRONT) and Rs. 4200 (REAR).

Hope this helps!!! Let me know if you need any more info...

Hi All
Need some help here. I had tried to adjust the headlight level of my bike thinking its not perfect but by mistake adjusted it the wrong way (up instead of down) and now I am not able to adjust it back. The screw that we use for this seems to be stuck or maybe the head is stripped.

I am trying to get a replacement part but TVS service center outright told me the screw can't be replaced and I would need to buy the headlamp assembly at Rs 3000. I got the number for Tvs parts and called them up and guy did not know the part number and hence could not check which delaership had it in stock( in fact he kept asking me the part number.. ). He suggested to raise a complaint which I did but the dealership people after the initial promise of "I will check and call back sir" are now not receiving my calls.

Can someone here let me know the part number for the headlight adjustment screw and if someone does know then where can I get it replaced in Bangalore.

Thanks for your info. So Angel CT are good. Then most probably i will go for Angel CT both front and rear. Will update once i replace. This weekend i will be replacing the Chain sprocket kit as the bike has done 32000+ kms on original tyres and sprocket. and i need to change both but will do it one by one.

Does your rear break get screeching sound? Since u r saying u have done 32000+ kms, I m curious to ask. Coz my rear break always does a screeching sound. It's just 2 months old. Visited svc multiple times to rectify it. But no use. Pressure washed the breaks. Still no use. I m really not into that sound coz it irritates me a lot. I just want to bang tvs for giving such inferior part for rear break. Help me out.

• TVS Apache RTR 200 4V CARBURETOR ODD ONE OUT?

11 months ownership of tvs apache rtr200
4th September 2017 my dad took the delivery of apache rtr200 v4 ( carburetor ) was super excited to ride it... followed the breakin period as forthnine suggested in his video for 1000kms... as soon I went for the first service the service stations were closed due to Diwali for two days( i took an appointment for next week ) and I contunied using it for the next 300kms again went to the service center and there was no informationn about the appointment that i took. Was shocked and couldn't wait for the next week.
The first thing what I did I went the local mechanic and opted for motul v300 10w40 boy ohhh boy that was it! Everything changed from throttle response to clutch.
Never went to the service center again
11,975kms of riding one road trip covered 739kms in 11 hours
Things I noticed on my bike was
• tvs are know for flat torque curve mine one has a linear power band the bike is dead before 5500rpm and at 6000rpm it hits the power band and turns out to take a 4 bike lead from another rtr200 i dont know how probably different carburetor set up or different ignition timing whatever it is i'm loving it
• tvs has phathatic after sales period
•However i use it either revving the shit out the engine just to cope up with the might busa's 6th gear idling speed or as a daily commuter the bike is more than happy to give fuel economy of 35 to 38.5 kmpl
•I've been in traffic jams durring peak summers and surely the bike handles heat better than me
•it's a bang for the buck couldnt ask for anything more.

Generally there is no screeching sound but now because of rains and dirt i can hear the sound when braking. So i can confirm this problem only after rains. Also after pressure wash the sound is not there but then after riding in rains it comes back.

Hound_7261 Since you change the engine oil at local workshop how do you procure 1.2 L engine oil? Is there any brand selling bottles of 1.2L or you buy 2 bottles and keep the remaining 800ml for next oil change? I checked with TVS spares and they have only 1L bottle.

There are also 1.5 L engine oils by motul available at amazon. For the next engine oil change, you can buy only 1L of oil and 200ml can be used from the remaining 300ml left of the previously bought 1.5L bottle. 100ml that is still remaining can be used for top up later on, if there is a drop in engine oil level.

I don’t think it’s fully synthetic. And it won’t last for 5k kms as mentioned in the manual. It should be replaced for every 2.5k kms for normal riding conditions. For harder riding it won’t even last for 1.5k kms.
