Re: Myself Nakul Baliga from Mysuru.
I wonder why TVS have not improved the Headlight, many people have reported negative about it.Originally posted by nakul98 View PostI own a RTR 200 4v since January 21 2017,and I have few things to say about my experience with the bike.
I can say it as a review as I have clocked 11k kms [emoji1] .
The bike felt smooth since the beginning and hasn't changed a bit yet. The throttle response is good and the mileage is as expected of a 200C motorcycle.
The bike does a top speed of 130km/h,but starts vibrating after 110km/h.
There are things TVS could've included/improved like:
-fuel injector, ABS & Pirelli tyre version availability
-better headlamps
-bugs like gear sensor faulty (will get replaced if within warranty period) and the display.
-overall availability of spares like the body parts(front mudguard and other parts which are part of the colour scheme).
But there is a catch, for the price they are selling the bike (₹110000)-(when I bought it),the bike is worth every penny and can easily do the task of highway riding and best for city travel!!.
Hope this review was helpful.

Re: Myself Nakul Baliga from Mysuru.
Headlight is good if you update the bulb inside. I was using Philip White Vision 55/60W for sometimes before i changed to LED headlight. But Philip light was also good enough on road conditions. Atleast 100 times better than the original bulb.Originally posted by MukundRao View PostI wonder why TVS have not improved the Headlight, many people have reported negative about it.

Did the philips bulb effect the battery? I'm thinking of changing my bulb too.Originally posted by rakowli View PostHeadlight is good if you update the bulb inside. No effect on battery as it is of same wattage as original bulb. you can choose from 2 companies i.e. Philip White Vision and Osram Nightbreaker. both are similar costing and both are very good. Only thing is Osram you might not get a single piece.

I guess you have a LED strip alongwith the standard headlight. Or are you using the LED instead of stock bulb?Originally posted by rakowli View PostHeadlight is good if you update the bulb inside. Also can you tell me what type of bulb does the bike have? Is it H4 or any other type. I couldn't find it in the owners manual. Thanks.Originally posted by rakowli View PostNo effect on battery as it is of same wattage as original bulb. you can choose from 2 companies i.e. Philip White Vision and Osram Nightbreaker. both are similar costing and both are very good. Re: Myself Nakul Baliga from Mysuru.
Bro, i am using LED instead of stock bulb for the last 6 months now. No effect on battery as LED headlight is 35W which is pretty less than stock.Originally posted by Nitish Singla View PostI guess you have a LED strip alongwith the standard headlight. It is H4 type of bulb.Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostAlso can you tell me what type of bulb does the bike have? Is it H4 or any other type. I couldn't find it in the owners manual. Thanks.

Sorry for late update on my bike. Busy with work schedule. Completed my 8th service at 19800kms.
Bike has done now 21500kms. Problem is with the Silencer now. It has started making weird noise like some part has broken inside the silencer.
Checked with Service center and they have confirmed that silencer is spoilt. Worst is the part is broken inside so cannot do any welding on it.
Need to change the silencer now. Checking with SVC for warranty if it can be changed under warranty. I have completed 1.4 yrs of ownership and warranty is for 2 years.
Will update once i get some news.Last edited by rakowli; 11-24-2017, 05:10 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I bought LED headlight from AliExpress.com for about 1100 rs. Reviews there were good for that particular light and i took the risk of importing it from China. But it was worth taking that risk. The light output is good not awesome but does the job for me on the dark road. Also i can use flash light easily as it is LED and not HID. So upper and dipper switching is at ease.Originally posted by sanz112 View PostDid you guys got a tool kit with your 200s, I got nothing with mine.
i have got the toolkit with the bike. It is normally attached onto the seat beneath.

If you get the lamp yourself, do the SVC guys change it for you or do we have to get it done from elsewhere ourselves?Originally posted by rakowli View PostI bought LED headlight from AliExpress.com for about 1100 rs. Also is changing the stock lamp for brighter alternative legal? I'm asking as some guys said it isn't allowed as it may be too bright for the other riders.
