I wouldn't be suprised if 140kgs fell on you and your bones wouldn't be broken. That wouldn't be poor quality, will it be? Just asking..

Anyway, pics would be helpful

Hey man! I meant its not the first time I have seen a bike fall from side stand, scraches are normal but It doesnt break your bike. Anyway it is not fair to compair bones with metal; I mean for obvious reasons.
Here is a pic for you reference. Cheers!

Hey guys, I own an Apache rtr 200.I have done 1800km. Now I'm getting a mileage of 37-39km/l in the city & Highway combined.
I have a question
1)At what rpm should I ride to get maximum mileage?
2)Is it Okie to do 40km at 5th gear? Will that affect the engine?
3)has anyone changed their back tyres to 140 section?

To your first point, your engine sound should be your best pointer. Check your manual, your manual would state that an ideal gear change would be some where around 4 to 5k depending on the gear, and at top it should be in and around 6.5 to 7k RPM. Yes, 40 Kmph at 5k is nothing grave per se, but the bike should be carrying itself with enough momentum, so that the when you accelerate from 4kmph, the bike should move forward smoothly, it shouldn't jerk, juddger or knock which is basically lugging and is not a good thing for the engine.. Keep the momentum, that's the key.

With 140 section, your sidewall profile gets higher by more than 7 mm this is enough to confuse the ABS system on an ABS installed motorcycle. Considering ours is a non-ABS one, bigger sidewall means comparatively rim friendly and offers slightly higher bike stance.

Cheers!

The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Hi guys I own a matte red variant. I have a problem, whenever I ride my bike straight the handlebar along with the console and headlight unit is little out of synchronise. The handlebar triple set and the wheel should be perfectly perpendicular to each other but in my case it differs by some degree and it is very annoying to look at the console when riding straight in highway. I have contacted TVS official and they instructed the showroom to change my bike's front end (top triple clamp, lower triple clamp, axle and both suspensions) from a brand new bike. They did it in front of me but the problem remains. And when I rode that brand new bike with which they replaced the front end, also has the same issue. But I test drove another bike before some days of buying my bike which didn't have that issue. So what can I do now? It seems some manufacturing error to some specific batches. Have anyone here faced the similar issue with rtr200? The showroom manager told me that most of the bike from TVS has some issue like that but in my previous rtr160 there was no such issue. Please help me out.

Agree!!Metal should not break like this. You should directly contact TVS about it, may be they will give you are free replacement as the bike is in warranty.

Anyone have any idea as to how to remove the rear fenders, the ones holding the number plate and indicators. I wanted to get rid of the plastic covering on it and just leave with metal frame only(kind of like having a fender eliminator). However I can't figure out as to how to remove it. There are two bolts under the seat that hold this fenders and there is no way to access these bolts without removing the whole tail section I think. Anyone know how to get this done?

fiero02. Thanks for the advise. I contacted TVS and to my surprise their response was prompt and they have arranged for the inspection and replacement if everything is fine.
A big thumbs up for TVs in this regards.

Gr8..that is the advantage of buying the bike when it just launched. You will get immediate attention from the company for tech issues.

Well, now that you've replaced your front end. Secondly, look at the metal "stay" or metal skeleton like structure if any that are in the front end holding the headlight and the speedo console if any, most have it fixed to the upper plate, if those are present check for any bends as those might cause the non-synchro you're referring to.

Cheers!

Thanks for your reply. But the problem is not in that holding portion. The problem is in either upper triple tee or the lower triple tee or the front forks and yesterday I have test rode 2 of their brand new RTR200 and both of them to my surprise have the same issue. It might be the manufacturing defect to any of the above mentioned parts or lack of instrument to align the front forks. The dealer was ready to replace the front end from a new bike once again but as those bikes also have the same issue, I didn't opt for that. Now the salesperson is trying to convince me that almost all the bikes from all the Companies have issues like that or everything is aligned perfectly. I have mailed TVS once again saying the manufacturing defects. As they don't have any tool to measure the alignment of the front forks or the triple tee measurements, they are hard to believe any issues just for the sake of sales. Any advice would be great to help me.

Could you please post of a clear focused picture so that we can get an idea as to what the problem really is. Similar issue happened with R3 where they collated similar issues and forwarded them to the Yamaha India. At least something similar can be done. if you can post the picture from a rider's view point would help fellow 200-ers too.

Hi
If you are feeling this is the issue with all the motorcycles you ride, i do have a feeling that the as you are used to the symmetric design of the 160. But the design of the console isn't symmetric on the 200. More pics will be really helpful actually! I don't think their quality control will let it pass. So many motorcycles being rejected by quality for sticker misalignment..
