I tried Motul Chain Lube, chain noise decreases considerably, but it doesn't vanish completely. This bike just has a noisy chain.

The plastic body which is just below seat and fuel tank was loose on left side. That was giving noise whenever I used to sit on the bike or was doing any movement. Noise was same as comes from old wooden bed or cot. They lubricated the point where it was touching the tank and tighten the bolts.

Don't use other switch and wiring. Try the use the switch already given on your bike for headlight. So that you are not tempering the wiring.
          Thanks bro...

Btw will there be any effect on warranty after adding this?
Does SVC guys can do this or I have to look outside for fitting?

warranty will depend on svc guys. They might say nothing for warranty or can reject the warranty saying that you are putting load on the bike electrical. That is their wish. And they will not do the fitting you will have to do it from out.

                Hi Guys

Is anyone here is using a mobile mount with the rtr200. I was thinking about getting the croc mount from Rynox but after getting the bike realized that it has clipons (with not much space) and this has been on the back burner since then.

Is there any other solution on the Indian market that would work out well on Bangalore roads for bikes with clipons.

Other possible points that I can think of to mount are :

                1. The rear view mirror stem (Cant find any good mounts for this. Also not sure if this is safe enough bot for the mobile and me).
                2. The brake fluid reservoir (not sure if this will work).
                3. Last is on the fork stem base (http://www.amazon.in/Mounts-RAM-B-342-Motorcycle-Fork-Stem/dp/B00DZZ4X7S. But something more budget friendly than this).

I would be great if you could suggest solutions that are available in India itself. Preferably something I can get my hands on in Bangalore.

                      Hi Buddy

unfortunately I know about RAM Mounts (Even linked one in my question). Thing is having blown most of my savings on the bike itself I am now looking to purchase Riding jacket and pants by December and so I cant spend a lot on this.

My understanding is that for the RAM mount set (including the joint, grip etc) would probably come to Rs4000+ and that is something I cant afford for now. After all i was considering the Rynox Croc Mount (<Rs1000). Kind of gives an idea of my budget.

Thanks anyways for the suggestion. If you know of other please let me know. If I am wrong about RAM mount and you are using one could you let me know the cost incurred?

I apologise. I replied before reading your entire comment. Yes, a RAM mount will drill a hole in your pocket - but they're the best available and also the absolute one stop shop for any kind of mounting needs. While my suggestion is to save the money you need for the RAM mount and buy it when you can(it's your phone. It costs about as much as another bike. Deserves all the respect you can afford it), you could also go the Jugaad way. Check this out. Superb jugaad he has done. My suggestion is for you to do the same thing on the allen bolt that's bolted to your clip-on. It will be vertical but you can totally pull that off!

there are plenty of double ball joint mobile holders available in the market which can be affixed onto the bike handlebars. i too have a clipons equipped bike (not the rtr200) and the mount (chinese make but good quality, sturdy) i purchased is connected via a screw onto the clutch lever connection on the handlebar.
im sorry i wont be able to give u a pic as i am currently out of station.
i have tested it with my mobile on it upto 120 kmph, with insignificant amount of vibrations.
best is, it costs approx 1000 in mumbai + 300 fitting charges

basically ask for a double jointed clipon compatible mobile holder with integrated charging...

                            Hi Guys,

My bike was running smooth without any issue before the 1st service. After the first service there is a rubbing sound coming out of the clutch plate when I am releasing the throttle at some speed. Normally there will be a usual engine braking sound in any engine, but I am getting an additional sound coming out from the clutch plates. I have rode around 500 KM with this issue. Please let me know if this is normal or will it damage the clutch plates? I never heard this sound from my other bike.

                            Thanks in advance.

Clutch side? If you feel there is a grinding noise each time you depress or engage the clutch, your clutch bell and or actuator rod "might" be at fault, that's one. Secondly, do check for engine oil level. There have a been a few cases of engine oil leaking due to loose drain bolts. Inspect the following and do keep us posted. Clutch side noises should be treated as priority.

                              Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                              THE END

Yes, clutch side. The noise is not coming when depressing or engaging the clutch, but when the clutch is engaged and I release the throttle (sound is more distinct at 5th gear) allowing engine braking. I confirmed this sound from clutch because this noise vanishes if I press the clutch and the engine sounds free of any noise. There is no oil leakage from the engine. This noise was more prominent immediately after the first service, now the noise is slightly less. I feel during service they have not adjusted the clutch properly. Not getting time to take the bike to the service center, probably tomorrow I will visit the service center. But the problem is I feel a bit skeptic of these service people, they do more harm rather than servicing the engine. They have already spoiled my other bike's engine.
