It's normal, go through your Owner's Manual it's clearly mentioned that if you turn on the key and doesn't move your vehicle for few minutes then you'll get this warning [emoji39]

Can be ABS retrofitted later in this bike when ABS is made mandatory in 2018?

Guys, I need some help. The chain of the bike gets automatically tightened after 2-3 days of SVC visit, resulting in power loss and poor fuel economy. The situation gets worse when a pillion is riding. The bike struggles a lot post 50 kmph. Is anyone facing the same issue? Requesting you to check the chain slackness when rider is onboard the bike.

Mods, @Divya Sharan @psr sir, can you please help here? Is this issue common with bikes having a monoshock.

Check the chain setting lock at the end behind the rear footrest. If that is not properly tightened then the chain will get loosen or tightened automatically due to vibratration while riding. There are 2 settings to be done when we tightened the chain, first is the nut which hold the wheel and the sprocket and the second is the plate which has 2 small bolts which are tightened so that the wheel should not go front or back due to vibration. For me that one side plate is missing due to SVC ignorance of not tightening the same and the spares are not available with the SVC. So i am riding without it but i can feel the instability at the rear when i try to brake so i have to be careful. Will get it sorted out this weekend.

No not applicable to any bike with any type of suspension. The problem may be due to incorrect chain tightening procedure, or most likely due to lack of Lubrication. If the chain is cleaned and left without any lubing then as the chain works the links become tight due to lack of lube, and difficult to flex and go around the sprocket. This is what makes the chain seemingly tight after some time of use. Better to do a lube of chain every 800 to 1000 Kms depending on the type of acceleration you do, and cleanliness of the terrain you use the bike.

Does anyone know how much it could cost to replace the front indicator, front mudguard and the plastic cosmetic around the headlight if that is possible or replacing the whole headlight?

Guys,

personal experience ............ Pirelli tyres are skidding a lot . Not having any grip . Yesterday i almost fell into a big pot hole . I am not sure how good is tvs tyres but pirelli as giving me a lot of headache . i dont think even ABS could do justice if the tyres are not having a grip . i am really disappointed . Let me know if there a way to overcome this .

p.s. I am applying both brakes simultaneously

Tvs tyres are not that good imho. Quite surprised to hear about the Pirelli's actually. They are supposed to stick to road like leech. Most of Auto Journalists have recommended the Apache with Pirellis over Remora. Can you get the tyre pressure checked.

Thanks psr sir. I have got the Motul C2 lube. Let's see how it works.
Also, is the chain supposed to be tighter when pillion sits on the bike? Can that additional weight cause a problem?

Instead of two bolts, my Rtr has only one at each side. And there is no provision to add another bolt. Maybe due to this, the setting gets changed with vibration. Will share the pic of my bike

Is the rear tyre stable now under braking?

If the tyres are skidding a lot while braking it's probably because you are pushing the brake too hard too fast. Try to apply the brakes gently so that you can almost feel the break pads starting to bite the disc. Pirellies or any radial tyres doesn't perform that well on surfaces that is not tarmac. The only issue that I have faced with the tyre is it's inability to keep the back of the bike stable on bumpy roads while I am speeding, it just slides a lot while the back tyre suddenly looses contact and then comes in contact with the road. But then again this may be due to my bad riding.

For those of you who might want to know, the indicator costs 190 a piece and 350 for the mudguard stem(mud guard consists of 3 pieces and stem is the leg portion which is attached to the forks, the whole set costs around 1500) and the headlight mask(the plastic surrounding the headlight) costs 300.

It would have been really cool if someone could share any links to rtr 200 parts price list if available. I have been searching for a whole day and couldn't find any. If it's already been posted here pardon me.

Went to svc today. The bike's chain is jumping and they have ordered a new chain set. Will get it replaced on Tuesday.
