I bought the filter today for ₹220. Yes, the price does seem to be higher. Everything is normal now. Also bought the visor kit for ₹200. Doesn't work very well. But not disappointed considering the price.Originally posted by hemnath View PostSame happened to me. My bike ran around 5300kms, i have changed the air filter after seeing it condition. The Visor on the 200 doesn't attest itself to say the least. From what I reckon, it's more factor over form. Many people here have done their own visor, and the most prominent one being done by ALI_R and with little jugaad you can pretty much do it yourself.Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostI bought the filter today for ₹220. Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

My Apache approx 3000Kms ridden (speedometer cable wasn't connected for 15 days when bought!)Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostWhat mileage did you guys get out of the air filter. My bike is 4700kms old and the condition is very bad due to which I am getting lag in performance. Will replace the filter tomorrow. TVS suggests the air filter lasts 12k kms, but a I highly doubt that.
Highway mileage hovers between 45-48Km/L at speed upto 50-80Km/H
City mileage around 35-37Km/L

Couldn't find out sweet spot for adequate tyre pressure 😣 Company provided feels spongy. 30-35 feels confident on good road but on bad roads the suspension throws away body from bike 🤕
There is sound coming from engine (I think so its from engine) when I rev noise like a loose metal piece vibrating comes when roll off throttle the sound is gone. Anybody suffer from such sound?Rule the road, but first wear the CROWN.

I get this loose metal sound sometimes. Can't figure out exactly where it is coming from. It come from the front section. The sound is like the same that a loose washer makes on vibration. It comes around 5-6k rpm. Usually i rev upto 4k rpm only.Originally posted by Pdajmere View PostMy Apache approx 3000Kms ridden (speedometer cable wasn't connected for 15 days when bought!)

I am not a tourer as of now, only highway rides to college and weekly trip to the mountains. The visor solely serves aesthetic purpose for me.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostThe Visor on the 200 doesn't attest itself to say the least. From what I reckon, it's more factor over form. Same issue here for the cold starts. Choke for 5-10 seconds gets the job done. Not sure if choke harms the engine in any way. Experts, can you please help here!!Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostAnyone know how to solve the cold start issue? Very tough to start in the morning withdraw choke.
Thanks

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Choke doesn't harm engine in anyways. Its also written in the service book. They say its always good to use choke when starting bike after 4-5 hrs of halt.Originally posted by Nitish Singla View PostSame issue here for the cold starts. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hey guys!
I just booked my RTR 200, Matter Red (remora & carb). Getting the delivery on the 18th Jan!
I just cannot contain my excitement this being my first bike. I am looking for tips specifically for PDI of the RTR200. Ive read numerous blog and forum posts for PDI and they are quite useful but not specific to this beauty. Experts, please advise if there are any specifics.
I was reading the manual to get an idea of the nitty gritties I need to check during PDI(honestly, it was just to look at all the things the bike has to offer) and realised the manual could be helpful for you guys. I dont know if it has been posted in this thread before. But here you go.(note that this is the first version. I do not know if there have been later versions)
Do share your delivery experiences and any bullet points you feel I should pay attention to during delivery.
Cheers!http://cloud.tapatalk.com/s/5a5e2e33...nual%20pdf.pdf

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I enquired. But unfortunately, its not available yet at nearby dealers in Mumbai, I can not wait for it. Maybe in the future we can retrofit the ABS module to the non ABS RTR 200.Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostI heard the ABS version lauched get that if you can.
