TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience

    Lost the vehicle's pickup and noticed lot of vibrations after first service

    I recently bought Apache RTR 200 on Nov 6th and after completing 700 Kms I gave it for first service.
    After receiving the bike and riding it for a day I noticed a power lag in the vehicle. It's response to acceleration was very slow and noticed a lot of vibrations in the vehicle. Clutch also seems to be lose.

    Since I wasn't present while he was servicing I don't know what he might've changed on the vehicle.

    I need to know what is causing this problem and what changes he might've made to vehicle without my notice.

    Does anybody also had similar experiences? Also if you could suggest me a good service center in Hyderabad for Apache.

      Hey guys. I need a little help here.
      Please guide me the correct procedure to set correct idling rpm. Also how much mileage are you getting generally? And which gear you put your bike in after crossing a speed breaker? When crossing a speed breaker speed reduces upto 6-7kmph. If I gear down to 2nd gear, the bike has a bit of hard time to pick up. But if i put it to 1st gear it performs superb. If i put it to 2nd, in the initial phase it feel as if engine is going to give up.
      Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

          Yes, take breaks in between and don't keep the bike constantly at a certain RPM. Vary the RPM.

            Sometimes I have problem in downshifting. Suppose the bike is running in 5th gear amd I apply breaks and need to shift to 2nd or 3rd gear. I press the clutch and shift down once. Till here no problem. But when I try to downshift again the gear won't go down. I have to release a bit of the clutch and then press it again. After this I can shift down.
            Anyone else faced this issue? Or is it normal?

              I think it's normal. My bike also has that and my dad's splendor too behaves similarly.

                  During the run in period I was getting close to 40 but now I'm getting around 34-36kmpl. Sometimes even 32. I am a bit disappointed with the mileage.

                    If its first servicing, you can do it in any authorized service center in your area. Not much work to do. Only engine oil & oil filter change required. Only for major works, go to that "good" servicing center.

                      I want to buy rtr 200 today..now in showroom but matte white production is stopped the showroom manager told me.i asked 3 more dealer.all are telling they dont have matte white .any one know about this

                        Ohh. Sorry, I didnt get you. I thought its for servicing.
                        Yes you can definitely ride it for 200 kms. Take break of 10-15 mins every 50-70 kms. Vary your speeds and dont cross 70 kmph often. Once in a while will do.
                        Dont believe in the Showroom walas. They will misguide you & try to sell you the colours they have.
