Firstly the thing about FS Oil is that it contains more synthetic molecules than any other engine oils andso they're priced high. Usage of FS oil reduces wear and tear of the engine parts and ensures better engine life. I doesn't mean that SS or mineral oil are not capable. They also have that tendency but not as much as FS oil !

Edit :**Due to this reason ,it's mandatory to use FS oils in bigger engines! Probably bikes above 200 cc .

Coming to the point ! As you've mentioned that you're riding only less number of Kms monthly hence you can use SS oils on safer side. It's better to change it every 2500-3000 Kms .(Based on usage)

And the chain dragging sound in the initial gears might be arise if :

    1. Chain is dry/Dirty
    2. chain is loose
    3. Improper slackness

    HOPE THIS HELPS !!

    LOGI.

    Thanks for the info buddy.

So I think there is no problem in using SS one.

Regarding chain, I’ll check it soon.

People are responsive and the senior mechanic was pleasing . Definitely I would recommend this ASC for fellow riders who reside nearby Tambaram circle. (CHENNAI).

MY BILLED AMOUNT WAS AROUND 500 ONLY .

I'm just about done 5000KMs and two long trips.
Both the times I just came around the half of the state on two 1000 kms trips.
Bike is just solid and perfect for long travels. The sitting posture is perfect for me.
For the time being I can't travel much due to personal reasons.
Will share the details once I go the distance.

Hi guys, I've done around 1000kms now. Vibes are a lot more than expected. There's buzzing at tank, handlebar and even pegs while cruising at 80kmph. This is kind of annoying when going for long rides. I feel the bike was smoother before and became a bit rough after service. Also I don't think my carb is tuned right, this might be the culprit. There's cold start problem and idle rpm fluctuates while starting in the morning. I'm sure my bike can do better and I don't even know any good mecs around. Is it just carb? Should I try tuning it myself? I've watched videos on YouTube but never did it before.

Cold start problem arises if the environment is very cold during nights..! Orelse you can try switching on :
Just crank the self start and meanwhile slightly open the throttle. (say 2-3K RPM For atleast 10 secs) Then slowly release the throttle to idle !! I'm following this method daily (Nomore cold starts nowadays)

              Reg. Vibes ! I can't comment as I own 160 4v .But 200 shouldn't be bad either.

I'm pretty sure this is just because of the improper service. Escalate your issue to TVS that you are having issues post service.
They might have left the screws loose and might tinkered with carb settings.

The bike was designed to withstand triple digit speeds for long time. I kept my bike between 90-100 for 5-6 hours continuously, the bike was butter smooth.
If you want to take it to your SVC first to register your disappointment and then let them know you're going to escalate the issue to TVS, you can do it.
TVS have a tight grip in their post sales service quality, and rating for their service.
So the SVC will hurry back to your issues.

From the last couple of months I am getting a weird noise from silence intermittently. Like the noise we hear from auto silencers. Not sure what is the issue. I have done around 19.5K Kms. Bike is regularly serviced. Any idea what it is and how to resolve?

Even I feel service guys messed up something. Also now there's rattling noise from the front while revving the engine, I'm guessing from the headlight assembly. I really don't want to take it to service centre anymore. Anybody here from Mangalore? Who knows any good mechs around?

For some reasons, My bike didn't come into reserve last time. Usually, it comes around 325-335kms with full tank. This time, odo shows 351kms and no reserve. When I refuelled, It took 11.3ltrs of petrol No Trip F indication also. I doubled checked the fuel switch and it was on main not on reserve.

Anyone faced same issue or know about the cause? Bike completed 6250km.

Also, during Heavy Traffic, the clutch release on 2nd or 1st gear gives 'kat kat' sound. Any idea about this?

Anybody has done ceramic coating or 9H coating in Bangalore? Is it worth?

Fuel level is an issue. You may have to check with your SVC, Whether it is an issue with your bike or issue with your fuel station.

This bike has lot of gear clutch issues. The sound you're describing may be reasonable for gears north of 2nd gear due to low rpm. But shouldn't be the case with first two gears. For me the lower gears are not smooth almost always.

Ceramic coating is a waste of cost if you have a white color. Black will show effects.

Might be a carb issue !! Do a complete service of your carb and replace if anything needs to be .

Ok guys, I found the culprit for the vibes and rattling issue. I'm sure there's something wrong with chain/sprocket. I put the bike on main stand, started it and put it on gear, i can see chain jumping and making noises like engine knocking and bike stalls within 10-15 secs. It's like something is stuck in front sprocket or its not moving freely. I don't have tools to open front sprocket cover and inspect it myself. I'm taking the bike to svc tomorrow noon. Anybody else faced this issue? If yes, what's the cause and fix?
