Okay ,but I have the Office printed certificate (RC) only ! I think there's an option for updating the old RC to smart card.

This is the old RC format and mine as well !Click image for larger version

This is just a receipt of sorts. Go to the rto/agent where it was registered. Probably the speed post went back undelivered. Or unless this is how its done in TN. Though I believe all states moved to chip RC a decade ago.

        Arunachalam ayrus ,yup !!

As said earlier I got my bike done servied and all I would say is it's PERFECT !! Not actually exaggerating , they must have got the prompt name too : It's BRILLIANT TVS !

People are responsive and the senior mechanic was pleasing . Definitely I would recommend this ASC for fellow riders who reside nearby Tambaram circle. (CHENNAI).

MY BILLED AMOUNT WAS AROUND 500 ONLY .
INCLUDING NEW AIR FILTER & SPARK PLUG .

My engine oil levels are dropping ..when I last changed my oil the mechanic told me that less oil drained and now 1600 kms later 600 ml dropped .The svc guy says it's a block issue and the entire block with packing ,rokers(not sure if I'm spelling it right) and clutch setting and housing will have to be changed with a cost of 15k+ ..The bike is 28 months old running on stock clutch plates and done 61,300 kms till now ..I'm.confused if I need to incur such a high cost or is it just the piston rings worn out? The bike isn't emmiting any black.or white smoke though

                      Hello all,

A query regarding the oil be used in RTR200.

I gave my bike for first service and my bill was around ₹500 only.

But, here most people are telling above ₹700.

So I enquired what oil did he use.

Unfortunately it is TRU 4 Semi synthetic one with red color bottle.

Does it affect the bike in any means, since manual says to use only Fully synthetic ?

I have to admit that, my monthly ride will be lesser and I gave my bike for service with just 300 kms on ODO.
(This is due to non availability of proper parking space at my work location. I’m using public transport for 40kms up and down)

When I questioned him, he says if we use synthetic oil, the engine should run some decent number of kms else it will affect the parts and using synthetic is of no use then. So he says to go with semi synthetic one. However I think the grade is same (10W30).

Won’t this cause troubles to the engine ?

But, I can’t see any major change in performance and all.

Also, 2nd and 3rd gear makes some sound (Like Tannnggg) while upshifting but 4th and 5th are crisp and smooth. Is this an issue with the riding habit ? Or due to low rpm gear changes ?

Hey guys, I have a problem. My bike has run 18200kms and there is a sound from the silencer mount on the engine. Could it be the gasket? Or is there any other major problem

The sound is kind of metal brushing on metal.

The sound from that point will be more like air escaping. The metal gasket costs 10-15 thereabouts and is a 2 min job. If the silencer is still moving even after tightening the bolts, replace the gasket.

LOL ! Who the hell is that mechanic ?

Firstly the thing about FS Oil is that it contains more synthetic molecules than any other engine oils andso they're priced high. Usage of FS oil reduces wear and tear of the engine parts and ensures better engine life. I doesn't mean that SS or mineral oil are not capable. They also have that tendency but not as much as FS oil !

Edit :**Due to this reason ,it's mandatory to use FS oils in bigger engines! Probably bikes above 200 cc .

Coming to the point ! As you've mentioned that you're riding only less number of Kms monthly hence you can use SS oils on safer side. It's better to change it every 2500-3000 Kms .(Based on usage)

And the chain dragging sound in the initial gears might be arise if :

                              1. Chain is dry/Dirty
                              2. chain is loose
                              3. Improper slackness

                              HOPE THIS HELPS !!

                              LOGI.
