Guys, any ideas on how much the whole headlight assembly of the Rtr200 would cost? Basically the whole head except the instrument cluster and indicators.

Hey. Not been active for a while and not ridden much either over the last year or so. Hopefully that will change soon. So I got this done by this brilliant dude who only does lighting work. And having seen how it needed to be done, I would recommend a lot of caution and patience if one is to go ahead with the projector mod. Primarily because the headlight casing on the RTR is tiny and almost fits nothing apart from stock bulbs or cheapo Leds. So the guy had to carefully grind/cut out a bit of plastic inside the casing to make more room and fit the projector/shroud.

My setup was sourced from https://feretrofit.com and cost 7000/- inclusive of installation charges.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the headlight visor holds and doesn't crack much as it's a tight fit with almost no breathing space inside. That is why I am thinking of buying a spare headlight casing and keeping it just in case it goes sideways. The same guy had done a projector set-up on my old FZ16 and it held perfectly for more that 2 years before I sold the bike off. So it should work this time too.

Apart from the projector mod, I have managed to improve the braking performance by simply using a Pulsar 220 (BS4) steel braided brake line instead of the rubbish stock on. That is one change I'd recommend to all.

Finally, my trusty neighborhood mechanic just completed converting someone's non slipper clutch RTR 200 to a Slipper-clutch one by installing the updated gear box (with minor amendments)available at TVS workshops. I am trying to get hold of the owner and take a spin and if I find it to be working like slipper clutches should, will post an update here.

Hi Apachians; my Bike have done 758Kms in 2 full Fuel Refill. Last night my bike got in to Reserve mode. where I have noticed something abnormal.

1. My bike's engine is giving missing in reserve mode, It occured two times. is anyone experiencing same thing? let me know how to get rid of this.

2. Today morning my bike got into TRIP-F, what is that? on how Much fuel odo shows it?

3. 200 4V Fuel tank reserve capacity is 2.5 ltr?? ryt or wrong

4. I'm lacking confidence on rear brakes due to ABS. what to do!! they are not as effective as Apache 160. I feel so.

Hi everyone , Hope you all doing fine. Kindly help me to choose which aftermarket Engine oil to be used ?

Currently I am sticking to stock TVS FS TRU 4 OIL with ODO reading as 10,000+ KMS .

I need to change the oil . As you all been familiar to this , suggest me a good one .
I'm confused about different brands and types !!

It would be helpful to many ,if this topic is discussed. Kindly mention the oil drain interval and the name .

Hi guys,

Gave my bike for first free service. Going to collect it in the evening. Service center guy told me the oil is going to cost around 700rs (TVS synthetic oil) Is it that expensive? Motul seems better option for that price.
