Also touched 80kmph couple of times, there are little vibes at that speed. Any way to reduce it? And as for engine oil, I'm thinking of going with motul 7100 10w40. Any other suggestions? Finally, please suggest me a chain lube. Affordable ones would be fine, motul C2 is kind of expensive.
That should be excess chain lube if you have sprayed it recently ie, may be day or 2 before. Otherwise you need to check with abc.

New engine needs time to settle. It will reduce post 1st service.

You can go for 7100 or 300v 10w40. Depends on your budget.

All chain spray comes at similar cost range. I tried nikavi lube. Its not that good Compared to motul. Motul will last for atleast 400 kms.

Update on my carb issue: Checked with another svc. AFR screw is jammed. Either it needs to be replaced or entire carb assembly. I asked them to replace carb itself. Initially they refused stating carb won't come in warranty. Still waiting for response

Carb won't come in warranty but if the SVC screwed up the screw, they must replace it for free.

P.S. ask them to disassemble the carb and see if it is possible to fix the screw

Since the screw is jammed completely the only way is put drill and take out screw. And fix a new one. I did not like that option so told them to replace it. Let me see the response. Mech said they can do since it svc fault. I'm yet to talk to the manager

Guys, any ideas on how much the whole headlight assembly of the Rtr200 would cost? Basically the whole head except the instrument cluster and indicators.

Got a risky projector installation done. But the fit is really tight with a probability of the glass visor cracking.Click image for larger version

Since the bike is new, I didn't lube it yet. So I don't know if it's chain lube. Sorry, but can you please tell me what's abc?

As for oil, might switch to 300v later, but i think I'll change it to 7100 now.

I've heard about people using gear oil for chain lube, is it any good? Motul seems to be kind of expensive. I don't ride much in dirt, It's mostly well paved roads here.

My bad.... Typo error on abc. I tried to type svc but it converted to abc.

Gear oils are good and cheaper but it's dust magnet.

Even i dont ride on dirt , but on high way still its attracts dust.

Lol no problem. I'll get it checked with svc next week on first service. Hopefully it's nothing serious.

And do you have any idea how many times 1 bottle of motul lube can be used? It comes in a 400ml bottle and I'm pretty new to this, so I don't exactly know how much to spray. So could you give me a rough idea.

It lasts around 10 times if you spray it on both front n rear sprocket

Successfully completed a 1000 trip this past weekend.
Unlike last time, this time around, entire trip was on the 4 way highway.
Bike was butter smooth in the highway. No vibe whatsoever.
Kept the speed between 85-90, as the bike feels more comfortable at that speed.
During the last trip the bike tank was vibrating, this time around there was no such issue.
Guess the engine was relatively new last time (600 km at odo)
Gave bike to 2nd service today at 3500 KM in odo. SVC didn't bother about the kms in odo.
Reported the fuel leaking from tank cap, they said that they will check.
SVC said they will replace the engine oil, but in the manual it was specified only top up.
Whether they will really change it or only collect money specifying it was done without doing so?
How to verify that the engine oil is replaced?

I'm looking to install a switch for my headlight and over time, may also change the visor and do other stuff. Can anyone please point me to a really good mechanic in Mumbai for my TVS Apache RTR 200 4V? (Bhandup, Nahur, Mulund or Thane regions work for me)

Hey. Not been active for a while and not ridden much either over the last year or so. Hopefully that will change soon. So I got this done by this brilliant dude who only does lighting work. And having seen how it needed to be done, I would recommend a lot of caution and patience if one is to go ahead with the projector mod. Primarily because the headlight casing on the RTR is tiny and almost fits nothing apart from stock bulbs or cheapo Leds. So the guy had to carefully grind/cut out a bit of plastic inside the casing to make more room and fit the projector/shroud.

My setup was sourced from https://feretrofit.com and cost 7000/- inclusive of installation charges.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that the headlight visor holds and doesn't crack much as it's a tight fit with almost no breathing space inside. That is why I am thinking of buying a spare headlight casing and keeping it just in case it goes sideways. The same guy had done a projector set-up on my old FZ16 and it held perfectly for more that 2 years before I sold the bike off. So it should work this time too.

Apart from the projector mod, I have managed to improve the braking performance by simply using a Pulsar 220 (BS4) steel braided brake line instead of the rubbish stock on. That is one change I'd recommend to all.

Finally, my trusty neighborhood mechanic just completed converting someone's non slipper clutch RTR 200 to a Slipper-clutch one by installing the updated gear box (with minor amendments)available at TVS workshops. I am trying to get hold of the owner and take a spin and if I find it to be working like slipper clutches should, will post an update here.

                                Cheers.
