I don't know if it's that common or not, but it happend to me once during last winter. Didn't have the problem in summers, and don't have the problem in this winter.Originally posted by #bpk View PostIs it a common problem or this is only in selected motorcycles.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Thanks Manash. I'm actually already following the Sportztourer and been through his tuning video. I did change the setting of AF screw by giving only a quarter turn towards the rich end today. Did not seem to make any difference.Originally posted by Manash Roy View PostHad the exact same issue with my bike. Had a blank spot between 4 to 5k rpm. Your fuel screw needs to be adjusted. Follow the sporztourer on youtube, he has a video on how to adjust it, super easy. He also rides a rtr200
Meanwhile I just got response from TVS Customer care asking for more details. Guess I'll just wait till they refer me to some ASC. Hoping it's not like my last experience.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Hello Apachians.
Within a month or two, I’ll be joining the club of happy owners RTR200 2.0.
After a lot of confusion in my mind and discussion in “What bike” topic here, I have decided to book APACHE RTR200 2.0 ABS in White-Red colour.
As owners, please let me know what are the things I must take care while booking and also while taking delivery (any special PDI for RTR?)
What are the tax, insurance amount and cost breakup details ?
What should I understand about their charges and how to check if there is any hidden charges by the dealer.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
AFAIK, no one is using adjustable levers on this bike. If the clutch lever is too far to reach, loosen the bolt under the attachment point of the left RVM and slightly raise the clutch lever, then tighten the bolt in that position. It will make it a bit more comfortable.Originally posted by msrb1984 View PostAnyone using adjustable clutch lever in apache 200?There is no spefic PDI for this bike.Originally posted by Harry J View PostHello Apachians.

About the cost, there are no accessories, unless you opt for any. You'll pay the ex-showroom price, insurance, registration and road tax. If they say anything else, get it clarified here.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I already did that...but still feel that it could have been shorter coz I need to shift gear very frequently in the heavy traffic. I heard from other forums that we can change lever.Originally posted by ayrus View PostAFAIK, no one is using adjustable levers on this bike. You may be able to fit adjustable levers. Buy it and see if it fits. If it works, good for you. Do come and tell in this thread for the benefit of the community. Just make sure you have a backup buyer to buy the product from you in case it doesn't fit.Originally posted by msrb1984 View PostI already did that...but still feel that it could have been shorter coz I need to shift gear very frequently in the heavy traffic. I faced similar issue in stop-go traffic with my P220, the with Ashwin's advice, what I did was I removed the tension spring that is present on the clutch rod near engine where the clutch cable ends. It made my life simple and as Ashwin has been using it this way for 4 years, its a trusted and tested mod.Originally posted by msrb1984 View PostSure...If I'm able fit it. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Adjust the clutch bro... Its free play would be more than recommended... And the fuel sensor is located in the LHSide of the tank thile the tank is actually in two partitions... So its creating such problems...Originally posted by Arunachalam View PostMy guess would be on the Fuel sensor. I'm having some issues with the bar always showing full even after 200 kms after a full tank, and it shows "Check fuel sensor" in those times, but it goes away before I show it to the SVC guys, and They're not accepting as issues, and convince me that it's working fine.
I'm having issues with gear, I can't put neutral easily. It's very very hard to put neutral from 1st gear. Where it comes normally from 2nd gear. Also I'm getting false neutrals when shifting from 1st gear to second gear on the move. (Neutral is not happening when I want it, but comes as false neutral when on the move while trying to shift to second gear) SVC guys very easily put neutral from first gear before me and saying there's no issue, Only I'm having difficult with that pattern. But I can put neutral in almost all the bikes with this pattern, and all of my friends find it difficult to put neutral on my bike. What I can do from here? It's really frustrating that SVC guys treating me like a noob, and refuses to accept my complain.

Whenever you lube your chain then spin the rear wheel and all the excessive lube would drop there... And the rims can be cleaned with a dry cloth. you may clean it with soapwaterOriginally posted by Adwait.R View PostI had few question and would request for suggestions/recommendations.
1)How to remove residual chain lube from from the rear alloy wheel?..I tried cleaning the wheel but even after washing it 2-3 times its still there.
2) Between kerosene and diesel, which one is better to clean drive chain during prolonged use as I heard diesel is bad for O-ring on long term basis.
3) Best way to protect the bike from scratches while removing dirt using a cloth.

If you mean the shifting from 1st to neutral is difficult while the bike is stationary,Originally posted by Arunachalam View PostMy guess would be on the Fuel sensor. 1) If the engine not running, push the bike slightly front or back and you must be able to get the neutral
2) If the engine is running, release the clutch lever shightly and try to shift to neutral.
Also get the clutch freeplay correct – about 1cm. The SVC usually keeps zero play or even worse, negative play (clutch does not engage fully at times).
For the neutral/false neutral when shifting from 1 to 2, push the gear lever all the way to the top as quick as possible. As much as the good bits this bike has, the gearbox seems a bit off
If you're lazy with the gear lever, you get false neutrals/remains in same gear 99% of the time.
