I'm having issues with gear, I can't put neutral easily. It's very very hard to put neutral from 1st gear. Where it comes normally from 2nd gear. Also I'm getting false neutrals when shifting from 1st gear to second gear on the move. (Neutral is not happening when I want it, but comes as false neutral when on the move while trying to shift to second gear) SVC guys very easily put neutral from first gear before me and saying there's no issue, Only I'm having difficult with that pattern. But I can put neutral in almost all the bikes with this pattern, and all of my friends find it difficult to put neutral on my bike. What I can do from here? It's really frustrating that SVC guys treating me like a noob, and refuses to accept my complain.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
My guess would be on the Fuel sensor. I'm having some issues with the bar always showing full even after 200 kms after a full tank, and it shows "Check fuel sensor" in those times, but it goes away before I show it to the SVC guys, and They're not accepting as issues, and convince me that it's working fine.Originally posted by Manash Roy View Post

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Visit some other SVC and tell them the issue. They might respond. Or you can show the bike to any trusted mechanic, as this bike is relatively easy to work on.Originally posted by Arunachalam View PostMy guess would be on the Fuel sensor. Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
I had few question and would request for suggestions/recommendations.
1)How to remove residual chain lube from from the rear alloy wheel?..I tried cleaning the wheel but even after washing it 2-3 times its still there.
2) Between kerosene and diesel, which one is better to clean drive chain during prolonged use as I heard diesel is bad for O-ring on long term basis.
3) Best way to protect the bike from scratches while removing dirt using a cloth.

I use micro fibre cloths to clean bike. i have set of 3 cloths. One for soap wash, one for removing water drops after washing. Last one for de-dusting on a daily basis.Originally posted by Adwait.R View PostI had few question and would request for suggestions/recommendations.

What i do is, spray diesel and clean it. Lube will go off. You can try the same.

I have not heard anything bad about using diesel for cleaning chain.

Finally resolved chain noise issue in my bike. Raised a compliant to TVS customer care. They assigned to the same SVC, but this time service manager and tech expert which they call stepped in (most of times these guys wont step in) and dismantled everything, cleaned and fixed it properly. Issue is gone now.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
Is there any modification / sticker-ing ideas to make the Apache 200 looks more appealing?
Anyone located the built-in usb charger which was told that it is under the seat? I can't locate it, no matter how hard I look. Mine is latest Race Edition 2.0 ABS model. I don't want a mobile holder as I never used maps for navigation, I prefer to just go to the way my mind goes and explore the new roads. I don't want to spoil the front look with holder/charger. But at the same time a charger would be very handy in outstation trips, which I prefer to go more often than not.

Removed front sprocket and it's cover. Cleaned and greased the rod that holds front sprocket. Removed chain and cleaned. Kept the chain completely loose. Adjusted slackness on both side step by step.Originally posted by ayrus View PostDismantled?? Can you please elaborate what was done.... The USB charger is an addon; not a stock fitting.

I don't think it's a standard fitment even in the FI bikes. Some have got, most haven't.Originally posted by msrb1984 View PostBuilt in mobile charger is available only in FI models.Wow...... Good to know. Next time, tell them to not to adjust the chain and do it yourself or tell them to do it under your supervision.Originally posted by msrb1984 View PostRemoved front sprocket and it's cover. Then I should feel I was cheated, the showroom guys told that it comes with the charger. Even the latest TVS XL comes with a charger. Why not their premium segment?Originally posted by msrb1984 View PostBuilt in mobile charger is available only in FI models.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Ownership Experience
As long as they do their work properly, i dont have to disturb it. Service manager has accepted to do it properly so that i dont have to raise complain. i can try to do myself, but i afraid that i should not disturb alignment when trying to do. So generally i leave these tricky works done by the correct people.Originally posted by ayrus View PostI don't think it's a standard fitment even in the FI bikes.
