Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
That noisy chain issue,I think,is part of the design and nature of the chain, sir. We might be able to reduce it to a certain levels but cannot completely make it silent.I hope TVS has a much less noisy chain for the Akula RTR 310.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Post[My Motorcycle]

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Sounds strange indeed.I had a problem roughly similar on my father's Old TBTS 350.But it occurs only on cold starts.etc.Try cleaning the Air Filter and cleaning+retuning the Carburetor.Check your fuel Quality and make sure its good. Also check the Fuel pipes and make sure there are no blockage.Another thing is to clean and check the spark plugs. If they arent firing correctly also that can be a problem.I hope it helpsOriginally posted by Pdajmere View PostToday while riding something strange happened to my Apache, when I Accelerate the bike above 4K rpm it starts loosing it's speed like I'm braking but under 4K rpm it somehow manages to run with sudden deacceleration sometimes with completely stopping like there is no more fuel to burn even though I had half filled tank. For about a 15 min the problem was solved but then it again starts happening, anyone knows what had happened so I could try to fix it because the showroom is far from me.
In Neutral it clocked 7rpm and in 4th gear it needed to keep under 4k rpm.

Re: FI and ABS version of APACHE RTR 200
The dealership close to me now says that the Fi and ABS Models are coming on January 2018Originally posted by rajush26 View PostFriends is the FI and ABS version of APACHE RTR 200 launch in the near future ?????
They are focussing on getting the Akula RTR 310 out by this year (Which I believe, might also be delayed to January 2018).

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Most likely water in the petrol tank issue. This causes similar behaviour as stated by you.Originally posted by Pdajmere View PostToday while riding something strange happened to my Apache, when I Accelerate the bike above 4K rpm it starts loosing it's speed like I'm braking but under 4K rpm it somehow manages to run with sudden deacceleration sometimes with completely stopping like there is no more fuel to burn even though I had half filled tank. Drain the carb, collect the fuel in a clean container, check for water in it, if there is, you know what needs to be done.
Cheers

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
The front sprocket has been updated for the new bikes and the older bikes are being called and if they are having the noise they are changing it for foc.Originally posted by TVSian View PostThat noisy chain issue,I think,is part of the design and nature of the chain, sir. We might be able to reduce it to a certain levels but cannot completely make it silent.I hope TVS has a much less noisy chain for the Akula RTR 310.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Any way to identify if we have to old sprocket or new sprocket? Is the new one the sprocket with a small rubber lining?Originally posted by JS16 View PostThe front sprocket has been updated for the new bikes and the older bikes are being called and if they are having the noise they are changing it for foc.
Yeah I have totally made piece with the chain noise TBH. It is a good as a feature instead of a bug, lol.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 200 4V
Actually I had reported the chain issue multiple times but each time svc guys said that the problem is common. They were not ready to change the sprocket.Originally posted by tanishq View PostWhy recall for such a small issue... If someone is getting to much noise from the chain they can go to there respective svc & get it replaced with new ones.... No big issue.
Just wanted to check if the svc has recieved any notice to change the problematic sprocket.
Thanks

Try to get in touch with TVs officials by calling them on the number given on your bike's manual.. they are pretty good in solving the issues.Originally posted by Nitish Singla View PostActually I had reported the chain issue multiple times but each time svc guys said that the problem is common. Recalls are made when the issues are generally catastrophic! Anyway anyone having this issue can get it replaced for free.Originally posted by Nitish Singla View PostActually I had reported the chain issue multiple times but each time svc guys said that the problem is common. I think yeah. Not sure though.TVS Engineers should have marked them like this to differentiate from the noisier design previously. But lol, true. That chain noise has become more like a soul and nature of RTRs xDOriginally posted by stoneshwar View PostAny way to identify if we have to old sprocket or new sprocket?
