I will be getting the jerking issue looked at shortly at the SVC. Hopefully should be sorted out.

I have Pirelli tyres on my RTR200 and they don't skid at all. Even under controlled hard braking. Use both brakes always and should help.

I'll get this checked and report back. Thank you!

I too get this khattt noise, but it seems to come from front fairing/instrument cluster area. Is it a loose cone set? I will check for play on centre stand today.

Could it be a front suspension issue? Or something else?

Further, it seems a common issue of the rear wheel not rotating as freely as it should.

Ali, I reckon you to check your tire pressure, under certain circumstances and road conditions you can feel a faint wiggle of the front end upon hard braking, I'd suggest you to look at the front tire psi, and then check if the T stem is either hard nor loose both of which can cause a wonky steering feedback.

That khatt sound you guys are facing can be probably because of these two probable reasons; either the T stem fork nut is loose or tight, or worse your lower or upper race is a goner. Either case, you would hear a "kataak" sound when going over a speed breaker or especially when the front brake is given more importance when coming to a stop.

          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

          THE END

Can owners of the Matte Red colour give me an idea of how the paint is holding up?. I am confused between glossy black and matte red. I want something that I can maintain with enough sheen 5 years down the lane.

From what I understand, motorbikes have like dual crown forks but the crown is a separate part called triple tree or triple clamp. This triple tree slides into what would be called a head tube tube in bicycle frames, not sure what motorcycle frame builders call it. It's essentially the tube that connects rest of the bike to the steering + suspension up front.

So is this race on top and bottom of the triple tree? And is the race setup like race + bearing? Thanks man, made me do some reading.

Thankfully this doesn't happen during braking, I am primarily a front brake user but haven't heard it under load. Have 1st service very soon so will talk to them.

Folks few more question for you. Facing some shifting related issues.

One is false neutral, happens a few times. Caught it on camera as well. Does this go away on its own? Issue is that while N light and gear indicator both show neutral, releasing clutch stalls bike.

Two is trouble shifting into first. Sometimes after shifting in neutral (actual neutral) the gear shifter gets non-responsive and like a sponge. I can keep smacking it down but it won't shift into 1st. It won't shift into 2nd either. I have to give it a second of rest and then push it down DEEP, and then I can hear a click.

Lastly, after getting the bike I had put in a full tank, I am lazy so I always get full tank lol. But when fuel gauge was on 1 bar, the bike wouldn't run on normal supply, I had to shift to reserve. The low fuel indicator would not turn on either. (Found this post w/ similar issue. Is this normal?)

So I got a full tank again today to see how much fuel was actually used. It was 8.5L. From what I understand, we have 12 litre capacity, 2.5L is reserve, 9.5L is main tank. And with 1.8L left in main tank, the low fuel light should turn up. Is my understanding correct? Does this mean my fuel light is faulty?

LOL BC ek weekend mein itne problem ho gaye.

Thanks in advance to everyone helping me out.

Heck even my friends bike has this issue and it is not resolved yet he told me that that he was getting more average in reserve than on full tank so he was mostly running his bike on reserve LOL[emoji13]

Ok guys I figured it out I think.

Downshifting while still, it does not go past neutral into first. But if I release and re-engage the clutch it goes into 1st. I *think* this is what is happening, and it is probably intentional. Some brands call it positive neutral finder. It's so that when you stop, you can easily downshift without going past neutral.

Can anybody confirm if this actually exists or if I have mech issue that has accidentally given me this feature? lol. Thanks

If you compare it with the 160/180 then yes it is on the softer side.

Congratulation on the 200. It's the loose cone set, get them adjusted.

False neutrals are common in new bike. Regarding the shifting issue get the gear lever adjusted to correct angle & the problem must go as this bike has one of the best shifting gearbox, shifts are almost effortless.
12L tank doesn't exactly means 12L (even the manufacturers say that). Full tank figures are always close to approximate numbers plus these digital fuel gauges are of little use as the indicated fuel level bars are sensitive to side stand parking angle, up/down hill ride etc.

One more thing there is a very faint wobble in the front wheel. Is it because of the lose cone set?
