        Hey,
Did you get your answer? I am buying my first bike, and have shortlisted 3 bikes. Gixxer SF FI, 200NS, RTR 200.
Is any bike much more comfortable over the others in terms of manuevering in city traffic?

Test ride them all and see what suits you. The Ns200 was a benchmark motorcycle for a long time but the competition has caught up and perhaps overtaken it, although it still has the advantage of a 6th gear over the other two for highway touring. I suggest you watch the definitive PowerDrift comparo between the NS and the RTR.

The Gixxer is a great ultra refined 150cc which effectively ended the FZs/16 dominance in that segment. The SF FI improved on that with good wind protection, rear disc and of course FI. It will therefore always be a great buy.

As for the RTR, its an unexpectedly brilliant motorcycle which ticks all the right boxes and IMHO is the most VFM choice in the 200cc segment. I found it better than the NS on several counts and the Gixxer Sf is a segment below despite the small difference in price.

Frankly, you can't go wrong with either of the three. It all comes down to what you want.

Saved 11k today, and how much will we pay to doctors tomorrow!?
The step of banning BS3 was taken by SC to reduce and save us from the chocking air pollution. But sadly just for ₹5k-₹10k we Indian's negotiated with our health, our environment and thousands of scooters and bikes were purchased just with in 2 days.

Irony is we are the people who travel distances just to see and enjoy the beauty of mother nature, and we your self destroy it that too knowingly. Even God can't save us!

If you give an option to people to choose to save money or save environment then be it anywhere in world people will save money. Not all but majority will choose to save money specially in a poor country like India etc.

Now, if HON SC was so concerned to pollution from just BS3 engine then they should have banned the sale of the same immediately. Why they allowed to clear stock of 8 lac+ BS3 vehicles?

Everyone want to save money be it customers or manufacturers. Majority of people are not environment consious like you that is why we are living in a toxic environment.

You are here on xbhp because you love bikes and riding. Can you please stop riding bike and use public transport forever and do your bit?

Well said brother.! Yes, its true i love riding. It's true that it all begins from us. We can't completely stop it, but we can surly control it do your bit. True we can't completely stop it, but true we can limit it.

Why just a bit we can do lot more bit by bit. Let's take an oath to plant at least a tree every time we tour.

Now lets get back to topic that is apache rtr 200.
FI which is not rocket science which can replace carbs to control pollution effectively and competitively but why TVS and other manufacturers not giving in their all bikes in India whereas they are exporting FI models ? Just because of cost factor, its the duty of govt to give subsidy on FI units to manufacturers so that end customer can afford it in "mass" to keep a check on pollution.

I too waiting for rtr200 fi btw.

Brother if it's all about saving environment
Then government should ban all the combustion engines,
And even they want to allow they should allow only 75cc-100cc
Why higher capacity? They will even increase pollution more.
What bs3 or 4 will do justification in that.

A modern BS3 compliant 200cc motorcycle with a properly maintained engine is probably amongst the last thing that could be held accountable when it comes to pollution. Our homes would actually be contributing much more to emissions than our humble law abiding motorcycles - doesn't mean we should live in caves.

The government /courts might as well implement BS100 and it'll still be pointless until they grow the balls to issue a total ban on decade(s) old commercial/private vehicles operating with impunity and fake pollution certificates. The political system and psyche of the common Indian man is so badly messed up that things may not ever change. Rampant disregard for rules and the misplaced sense of machismo are the norms here. After all the masses here love their 'jugaad' and lawlessness way too much.
